“3 Vacations at Naples Grande Beach Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

We have had the grand experience of staying at the Naples Grande Resort 3 times over the last several years. I have found the Hotel to be one of the finest in all of my travels and the view is spectacular. The management of the resort is outstanding and the decor is the best. The dinners at Aura are excellent. I look forward to visiting Naples because of the Naples Grande Resort.

Room Tip: Every room that we have had has been outstanding.

We recently spent a long weekend at the Naples Grand and it was just what the doctor ordered. Our room (which we wished was on a higher floor) did have a view of the gulf and was very nicely appointed and clean. The staff was friendly and informative. The food we had at Aura was tasty and the bartender, Paul, was friendly and personable. The tram drivers were all very informative and made the trips out to the beach quite enjoyable. All in all, it was an awesome weekend.

Ministerio Latino Miami (South Florida Church of Christ), decided to have a Marriage Retreat in Naples, Florida this year. We was looking for a Hotel close to the beach, good food, a good conference room for 60 couples with a good price. The Naples Grande Beach Resort was perfect! The service, the attention, all the Staff was very professional and courtesy was the rule all the time! I really enjoy my time on it! Loved the pool area and the outdoors. The decoration is fabulous...! Two thumbs up! Thanks to all the Staff, specially Banquet and Customer Services...!

Room Tip: "Corner suites are large and sunny"

This is a nice hotel, with nice ammenities. But it doe not live up to Waldorf Astoria's reputation or standards. The facilities have a large and small swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The rooms are nice, but the view of the gulf is disspointing, since it is NOT right on the beach. To get to the beach, you have to take a tram or walk. The ride takes about 5 minutes... We didn't try to walk it... The service is ok, but not great. The drinks are all from prepared bottled mixes, and when you stay at a Waldorf Astoria, you expect your pina colada to be made with coco lopes and pinneapple juice, not from a mix that tastes like suntan lotion... The food is another dissapointment. Again, not up to par. I stayed here this past weekend, and compared to my stay at the Ritz-Carlton, it was very disspointing. The staff is not as professional or courteous as the Ritz, nor are the facilities as nice. The room was ok, the bathroom smelled... It's more to the level of a Ramada or Marriott. Just so you know. It's not a bad place, but don't go there expecting Waldorf Astoria treatment, because it's just not there.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a gulf view, but it's kind of far away... You see a little bit of ocean past...

My husband and I, along with another couple, decided to take a weekend trip. We choose the Napes Grand Beach Resort. Upon checking in, my husband and I was put in the requested type of room, a king suite, which turned out to have an unbeleivable amount of mold on the shower floor and shower curtain. We informed the front desk and was reassigned a queen double instead of a king suite. Because the other couple had a nice room that was the type requested, we decided to give the resort another chance. After deciding to go to the beach which turned out to be a public beach that was a 6-8 minute tram ride away, we thought the resort had a private beach, we returned to our rooms. Upon returning, the other couples' room smelled very musty and they found their bed had a dirty bedskirt. We looked more closely and our room was also dirty. Needless to say we left! Unfortunely not quickly enough, the mold caused an attack for my friend who has COPD almost ending our weekend retreat with a hospital stay. In fairness I must say the staff was very concerned and apologized for the problems. Everyone who became aware of the situation tried to help in any way they could and were supportive but that does not help a situation that should never have happened.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding your recent visit to our resort this past weekend. We were most disappointed and concerned to hear that the room you were allocated wasn’t up to par due to mold / mildew in the shower and we agree this is totally unacceptable. We are in the process of checking these rooms as it was brought to our attention over the weekend of your visit and your travel partners had also let us know of their experience. Clearly this was a thorough disappointment for you both and we are sincerely sorry. We understand that no charges were posted to your account and we appreciate your kind thoughts with regards to the manner in which our staff handled the situation. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we do hope that your friend is now feeling better.

Fifth year in a row at this hotel. Love the hotel staff, especially front desk staff. They are very friendly, accomodating, efficient and professional. Was upgraded to a beautiful suite! Awesome pools and atmosphere. Nice stroll on boardwalk to beach (or tram ride). Enjoyed the early morning views from my balcony. Idealic! Only minor gripes; water didn't drain from tub (was fixed right away) and old & smelly carpeting in area from parking garage to lobby. Other than that...perfect! Thank you front desk folks for making my trip memorable (and wonderful). Will be back again and again and again!

Loved the pool area and the outdoor Palm Terrace Pool Bar & Grill. Enjoyed the Aura restaurant for Breakfast & Dinner (Fabulous Menu & Wine List). Nice updated rooms, however, the decor feels a little old fashioned. Could use a decorator's touch.
