We ate at this wonderful little gem on Sunday, June 15. It was our first evening in Naples. I had read good things about Bella Maria in the trip advisor forum, and wanted to try it for myself.
We ordered the two different tapas combinations, so we could sample a variety of items. These dishes included Serrano ham, chorizo, cheese, kalamata olives, croquets, cheese empanadas, beef empanadas, special dipping sauces, and bread.
I honestly can't recall everything, as I was too busy enjoying my meal! Our food was fresh, and very, very delicious! We drank fresh fruit sangrias with our meal, and liked them so much, we hope to copy them at home.
For dessert, we had flan and a chocolate pear creme brulee. They were both perfectly done. The Don PX sherry was chosen by our friendly "mesero" (waiter), and it accompanied our desserts nicely.
The restaurant is cozy, yet comfortable and casual. They even played the UEFA Cup game on the television while we were there. They were planning on having a DJ later in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The food is a bit expensive, but comparable with similar places located on Fifth Avenue. We got out of there under $100.
We had a memorable experience at Bella Maria, and given the chance, would return again in a heartbeat.
