“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2008

Was on a 2 week trip to Florida, staying at 5 other hotels (all 4*+) and all but one booked through Priceline. I got this place for about $80, and the website and pictures looked great. Our flight landed in Miani at 4:30pm and we had to be in Tampa/St Petes on the Saturday so this was a perfect interim stopoff. Due to the flight we arrived at about 9pm on a Friday night. The hotel wasn't massive so was handy to park in the garage (hooray for no charge) and checkin and be in our room within a few minutes. Roxanne at checkin was very polite and helpful. We had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the marine. The room was nice and spacious with a balcony. The bathroom was gorgeous with a shower made for 2 ;) Free wifi in the room. There's a crab shack across the street so we went there for dinner. The whole complex is a little open to people to just walk in but on the way back we were challenged by security which was reassurring. In the morning we went to the swimming pool. This is possible the only downside to the resort. The pool is a walk down the street. I would say 5-10 mins or a short drive. We were the only ones there at 7am apart from the gardeners. They have a few gorgeous pools and a hot tub. There is also a lazy river but the gardeners were cutting down the palms and so the lazy river was full of mud/leaves. Was a very nice complex apart from that. We would definately stay there again if flying into Miami and heading up the Gulf side.

The mixed reviews on this site almost put us off this hotel but I can't tell you how glad I am that we decided to give it a chance. The staff were beyond helpful - letting us check in early, giving us plenty of info on the area and courtesy shuttle rides to the pool/gym facilities. Yes - it's a mild irritation that these are not on site but having a complimentary 'chauffeur' service certainly makes up for it and the drivers we met were incredibly professional. Our room had a huge bed, a luxurious bathroom and a wonderful view of the bay. It was a 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants of 5th - but if you don't fancy that - there are 2 restaurants onsite. Best of all was the total peace and quiet. We didn't hear a sound when we turned the lights out and when it came to check out, we wished we were staying a little longer. I really hope this venture works out for them as it's a great looking complex with staff to be proud of.

Forget all the reviews before July 2008 as hotel was unfinished. Our stay was FABULOUS. All the resort facilities were brand new and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had a 'small' suite with one bed - but that included full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, balcony overlooking the marina, washing machine & drier, 2 plasma tvs and access to the amenities. These included 6 resort cruisers for hire, 3 pools, gym........ the list goes on and on. It is a short walk into Naples and they run a shuttle to the beach.

  • Liked — it was new
  • Disliked — resort fees of $18 a day, but only because it was 'hidden'

After spending part one of our honeymoon in Miami we arrived at the Naples Bay Resort with a friendly welcome from everyone especially Bobbii the concierge. We were a little early but were told our 'Cottage' was ready, but we weren't prepared for the lap of luxury we were to spend the next 12 nights in! Wow, what a chestnut I had found.

As always after reading a few negative reviews on the accomodation you have booked you are always a little nervous about how it will all turn out, but how anyone can have a negative experience here is beyond me. From the immaculate apartment, to the extremely friendly and welcoming staff (did I mention Bobbi the concierge??) and the perfectly laid out pool area (3 pools, 2 outdoor jacuzzis, and the lazy river) the rest of our honeymoon was better than we could have imagined. It was only a 10 minute stroll from Tin City/Bayfront and a 15 minute walk from the action on 5th Ave South, plus very easy to reach off the 41.

If you don't want to venture too far then you must eat/drink at Bonefish in the Hotel part, the Bang Bang Shrimp is something else, and again, the staff love to chat. We didn't try Olio but it looked just as inviting.

If I had to find one thing which wasn't perfect, it would have to be the fact that there wasn't a kettle in the apartment, did that bother us?? No, we used the hob in an otherwise very well equipped kitchen. Didn't want to leave, and will definitely be back, with friends or family to share what we found.
