The Gondolier Inn and Apartments was a perfect choice for a refreshing break from this year's seemingly endless New England winter. We have been talking since we arrived about when to return. We had everything we needed - a very comfortable bed, good air conditioning, a kitchenette, scrupulous cleanliness, and an affordable price tag. The retro-fifties decor of the Gondolier is tasteful and lovingly maintained. Mostly everything of importance to us was within easy walking distance, especially the extraordinarily beautiful beach, and beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas were supplied by the owner. He himself is generous with helpful information about Naples, and aims to keep his guests happy and comfortable. In this he succeeds!

CHARMING AND A GREAT LOCATION walking distance to the beach,3rd. St. and 5th Ave. shopping and restaurants. This venerable 50's style lodging has been in the owner's family for over 50 years and Henry,the present owner, is a very proud and attentive host and a mine of information. The units are not fancy but they are clean and well furnished and equipped and Henry supplies beach chairs,umbrellas and towels as well as books,a laundry with ironing board and even mangoes from his tree! There is a pleasant yard in back for relaxing and each unit has a little table and chairs outside.

All this at a remarkable low price; I paid $70.00 for a studio with kitchen and full bath; my relatives paid $85.00 for a bigger unit and there are some with separate bedrooms.

I highly recommend this place as do others who return year after year with hearty greetings and hugs for Henry.

We stayed here for two nights in February. Henry, the owner was very nice and friendly. The property was a cute 50ish kind of place with clean rooms with comfortable beds and little kitchen, microwave , toaster etc. There was free internet service and nice grounds. You could walk to Naples and the beach. Seemed like good value, although I have no experience with Naples.

We came across the Gondolier by accident having just driven directly fron Miami, and what a fantastic find. Henry, the proprieter, greeted us like member of the family and showed us around two appartments and we made our choice. The rooms are simple, but really well equiped and spotlessly clean. Clean towels for room or beach are there whenever they're needed. Beach loungers are at your disposal, and more books and magazines than you could imagine are there for all to use.
With Henry and Janine at your disposal is like having a tourist infoemation office on your doorstep, they gave us a complete runtown of the immediate area with copies of maps, and tour guides, as well as all the atractions within a wide radius. Henry also has a selection of menus from all the resaurants in Naples and could carve out a new carear as a food critic if he so wished.
The Gondolier was one of the highlights of our Florida tour, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. It is perfectly placed within a few minutes walk from the beach, 5th Ave and 3rd St shops, Restaurants and bars.
