Be thankful that the State of Florida preserved this lovely stretch of beach along the gulf, located at the northerly end of Vanderbilt Beach. The sand is soft and the water is gentle. There is a small admission charge but parking is located along a drive that runs the length of the beach, so after you park its just a short walk to the sand. This makes it easy to carry your chairs and beach gear with you. There also are large crowds that gather for sunset viewing, and its not unusual to see/hear musicians playing at that time.
