When I saw that Naples had a Persian restaurant, I convinced my husband that we had to try it. I'd spent 11 years in Los Angeles, home to probably the largest collection of Persian restaurants outside of Iran, and grew to love the exotic, savory cuisine. We'd tried a Persian place in Dallas that didn't measure up, but I was still game!

Bha Bha Persian did not disappoint. It was as excellent as the restaurants I'd enjoyed in Westwood and Beverly Hills, and the service was superb. Even the decor was well-done, (no easy feat for a strip mall shop).

The restaurant had the classic Persian dishes you'd expect, and some new interpretations. We shared an apricot-fig salad that was THE best salad I've ever eaten anywhere. Our entrees were both excellent and desserts were a delicious postcript to an extraordinary dinner. I ordered the apricot mint iced cream, perfect for a steamy South Florida evening, and they brought my husband a complimentary dish of rice pudding. Now, neither of us is a rice pudding fan, but both of us thought their take on this old-fashion dessert was sublime.

Bha Bha Persian would be a regular stop for us if we lived in Naples, and should be a must-visit for your next trip to the area.

Lived here 5 years . Used to be favorite place to dine. Last 3 meals have been lackluster. Shrimp appetizers and salads are still very good but "famous" lamb dishes are not. Not the value it was once.

As a Naples resident, I've joined friends several times for dinner at Bha Bha. I must say, I just don't get it. I eat at several Iranian and similar restaurants in New York City fairly frequently -- so much more flavorful and about a half the price. Yet people claim that New York is expensive? The lamb dishes are perhaps the best, but service is so slow, and while not rude, just seems cold and distant. I just don't get the prices to eat in a cheaply decorated strip mall and get just so-so food. More than one person I know calls it Blah Blah, instead of Bha Bha. I guess because it's the only such place around, some people rave -- especially if they have never had "Persian" or middle eastern food before. .

We arrived in Naples to visit family for a few days and headed to Bha Bha based on the glowing reviews in Tripadvisor.com. Our relatives had never heard of the place but were game to try it out. It is located in a strip mall unfortunately, but we were pleasantly surprised by the white tablecloths and colourful decor. We were quickly seated and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The entrees were very good: the highlight was the arigula salad with figs. The roasted butternut squash was also excellent. I chose a chicken kabob dish as my main course. The chicken was on the bland side and slightly overcooked; the main problem is the heaping portion of rice that dominates the dish: oh, for a side order of vegetables! All in all, we concluded that Bha Bha is a good restaurant but it would not be on our list of top restaurants to visit while in Naples.
