“Fresh food and right on the water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Have been here quite a few times and always have a delicious meal. they always serve delicious fish!! They are right on the water looking out at the mangrove trees. You can eat inside, in the typical Florida chickee hut, or If you want, you can eat outside with the water lapping at your feet and your toes in the sand! The sunday brunch is good. They rent kayaks there. Nice spot!

“Great food, fabulous view, family fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

On a Friday night, when the Snook Inn and other places in Marco wouldn't touch a party of 6 we ended up on the Isles of Capri. We stopped at the fish house, and even though the place was hopping we were seated within 10 minutes in the chickee hut. Soulful songs by the live entertainment, and sunset over the mangroves completed an idyllic scene. Entres ranged fron $16-$29. The fish was fresh, excellently prepared and the presentation was lovely. Top it off with great booze, and fair wine list. We had a blast. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Lots of families there with kids. Will definately and this to one of our favs.

“What's the fuss?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

I must be missing the "charm" of this kinda dumpy spot. I want it to be so much more than it is ... and it's just not. That said, the service is quite good. There was a little entertainment the night we were there. The drinks were good and the menu is extensive (but not cheap). And maybe it's the price that's my problem. Yes, that's it. For the casual (and that's being kind) place that it is, it's surprisingly expensive. Prices that I'd expect to pay for fine dining ... not some shack. Entrees generally run $26-$34 .... I can see it's that I CAN'T see it's charm ... perhaps only visible to natives.

“Don't miss their Sunday buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This is a very casual place on the water in Isles of Capri. There is some indoor seating and also outdoor seating under a screened in Chickee. They have a Sunday breakfast buffet, but their Sunday afternoon dinner buffet is well recommended. Casual (plastic plates), there are a variety of choices, all very good. Choices include fish, seafood (seafood newburg and jumbalaya), jerk ribs, sausage, ham, fried chicken, pasta, beef. The blackened grouper, fried grouper, and other fish choice were very good. The price is very reasonable.

“ok restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Extremely slow restaurant service. New England seafood chowder was NOT New England version. Had things in it that were undistinquishable. and New Englander's do not serve chowder with hunks of celery in it. Nice view. Very rustic tiki hut.
