“Feels like you're a million miles away!”

Love getting here through the golf cart at the Waldorf. It's so serene and quiet. The beach is full of shells. I love going here!

“Never Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

There is nothing exciting about this beach at all, and to pay $8 to get in is ridiculous!! First of all, waiting for the tram to come and pick you up was awful. I hate relying on something or someone in order to start my experience. The walk to the beach is very long, especially when you have tons of beach gear and kids and its the dead heat of summer. So, we waited for the tram, and waited and waited. When we finally thought we were getting one, it dropped off some people then went straight to the Waldorf to drop off others and pick up more, never coming back to us. This happened at least 5 times. The beach itself is like any other beach, nothing special and yes, the water is brown and really not pretty. The sand is filled with toms of shells and can hurt you if you don't keep your shoes on. So, we had a long day in the hot sun, it would have been great to be able to just walk back to the car and leave within a few minutes. But that does not happen as you have to wait once again, but this time even longer, to get on a tram to get back to the parking lot. More than 30 minutes of waiting in line in the 95 degree sun with chairs and bags and annoyed children, just to finally get on the tram and get to the car. Never again.

Pretty beach with food and drinks available via a nearby hotel. The calm gulf waters were clear and clean
To get to the beach you can either walk or get on a golf cart.

“Great Old Florida beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

The trail leading to the beach is enjoyable. You
Can walk it or ride the golf carts. There is a restaurant and chair rentals etc. offered and available by the waldorf Astoria resort. You can bring rafts etc. and can fit them on golf cart just makes it a little tight. Beautiful sunset and lots of shells but the water was very brown and no visibility when we there there.

“As my girl would say...romantic times ten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Private-ish, beautiful. Loved the boardwalk. Seemed very upscale being attached to the high-rise hotel. My girl loved the shuttle and bar on the beach.
