We stayed at this hotel 30 years ago for our honeymoon and decided to return to celebrate our 30th. Best decision ever made both years. It has changed a little bit but still a beuatiful place. Planning on going again this year.

Cove Inn on Naples Bay

Really enjoyed our stay here - excellent location with marina views and restaurants nearby.

The room was very clean and the standard of funishing in our room was good - but all rooms vary as its a condo hotel.

Excellent value for Naples.

I was recommended this hotel by a snow-bird who winters in Florida. I usually go for four/five star so I took a lot of persuasion to check in for 18 days in this two star. I was finally convinced when they mentioned a Bentley-driving mutual friend who has stayed there regularly and who could easily afford the Ritz Carlton.

The bottom line: I would definitely go back again to the Cove Inn – but probably won’t because the weather wasn’t good enough.

The Cove Inn has two great pluses: (i) Location (ii) Cost.

(i) We never had the expense or hassle of using a cab to go dining. Campiellos, which everyone thinks is great, is ten minutes walk away and the Bleu Provence, which I think is great, is three minutes walk. All the restaurants, pubs and shops of 5th Avenue are between 10 and twenty minutes walk. All the restaurants, pubs and shops of 3rd Street are 10 minutes walk

ii) It cost about $100 per night and for that, apart from the great location, you get: a medium sized, heated pool which was never very crowded, the Chickee Bar, linen changed about every second day, nice view overlooking yachts.

However there were some negatives: the kitchen equipment in our room was old and inadequate and remember it is a two star so if you really need 5 star pampering think twice.

“Another super vacation”

Cove Inn on Naples Bay

We first visited the Cove Inn in 1997 with our three girls from England. We loved it then and our second visit for 10 nights last month - this time without the kids - was just as good.
The inn has a unique character. All the rooms/effciencies/apartments are privately owned so no two are the same.
The location is great, right on the City Dock. Naples' superb beach, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance.
Our efficiency had a great view of the bay and was spotlessly clean. The plumbing was a bit temperamental, but I suppose it goes with the territory with a one-off place like this.
There is a spacious lobby with an outside terrace, a nice pool with an outside bar adjacent to it.
Staff were always polite, friendly and helpful and the onsite coffee shop is a must for traditional US breakfast and lunch.
Our only disappointment was a trip to The Dock restaurant just to the west of the inn. It is not part of the hotel and we would recommend avoiding it. We had never seen so many tables packed into a place. The staff were unattentive and surly and seemed to think they were doing you a favour by allowing you to wait for a table. Try Mel's Diner on US41 instead!
As for the Cove Inn we're definitely going back.
