We spent the 2006 Labor Day Weekend at the Cove Inn. The Inn shows its wear and tear, but the rooms were cozy enough to make the price, location and views from the marina worth while. There is a Mom&Pop breakfast restaurant co-located in the lobby of the hotel that serves up great southern breakfast and more than you can handle in pancake servings. There is a great mid-priced restaurant connected to the hotel that seats on a deck over looking the water and Naples City Dock. Not far off is the Naples City Pier where you can catch dolphins feeding and playing at dawn and dusk. Make the trip to Corkscrew National Sanctuary boardwalk; we saw a black bear, gators, and birds of prey. We took this trip primarily to go back water fishing from Marco Island. We used Six Chuter Charters out of Marco Island and had a great time catching Snook, Jacks, and Mangrove Snapper. We'd recommend this hotel because of the great bargain on the marina with great food and easy access to a lot of sight seeing.
