We have been timeshare owners for twenty-five years. We wanted to stay in Naples; this resort was all that was available. Our expectations of the resort were not great and we would say that the resort did not exceed expectations. If you are out all day golfing, it is probably fine but the unit we stayed in was definitely tired. I should say that the first unit they gave us looked very new and in retrospect, we should have taken it. However, we had booked a king bed and this unit only had a queen. We were reassigned to a unit with a king bed but it was so awful that I slept on the floor most nights! The mattress bounced with every movement and was very soft; the linens were thin. The bedroom windows needed curtains to keep out the morning sun; you could see where they used to hang. On the positive side, although wireless access to the internet would have been nice in our unit, it was available at the clubhouse. And yes coffee was always available as was U.S. Today. The afternoon cookies were cooked on site but the morning muffins were prepackaged. Tide, dryer sheets, shampoo and soap are provided in the unit, a nice touch for a timeshare. The pool was clean with lots of chairs. However we could have done without the local radio station being piped in all day. Our unit had an enclosed lanai overlooking a small lagoon with a fountain in the middle. Very pleasant spot to relax and read.

I stayed here for 5 days. beautiful apt. two bedroom, full kitchen, living roon, porch overlooking the pool; area and man made lake. My flight was cancelled 2*2 storms in the north east. they let me stay until i was able to reschedule. Great pool/rec area. good for family or alone. I fully recomend this place.

My wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law just got back from Green Links and we had a great time. I will say that while it is in Naples, it is not in walking distance to really anything. We rented a car and it is about 15 minutes to downtown (5th as well as 3rd are where you go at night) and a minute or two further to the Naples Pier. The nice thing though is that you are only 15 minutes from Marco Island and there are grocery stores and chain restaurants in the hotel's vicinity as well. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. I will say the couch was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on, not a complaint, but it was that rediculously uncomfortable I had to mention it. All in all, the Green Links was nice, not a bad location if you don't mind a 15 minute drive to get to anywhere (except golf, that is on site). I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet launching point to see Naples, Marco Island and other nearby attractions. Oh, one final point, we rented a boat the one day from CedarBay in Marco Island and it was an incredible day of boating, dolpins, wildlife, beaches and seeing the incredible water front homes in Naples.
Enjoy!

We just completed our family vacation at The GreenLinks Resort and our experience at the resort was a complete disappointment. Although the three-bedroom condo was clean and quite nice upon arrival, we had a number of very unsatisfactory customer service issues with the resort.

During our first visit to the pool, we discovered that the whirlpool water and tiled surface were a very strange green colour - we had to declare this area off limits to our children. I assumed that the whirlpool situation would be resolved quickly but it remained in the same unsatisfactory condition for the duration of our one-week stay.

When we made our reservations, we were advised that a very large group had booked the majority of the rooms in the complex. When we arrived, we quickly noticed that the rooms surrounding our room had been assigned to out of town construction workers doing construction work at the resort!! We had to deal with rowdiness and strange noises all night - not ideal during a family vacation with young children.

Upon checkout, we were advised that the resort's computer system was down and that we could not proceed with checkout. The whole checkout process seemed very amateurish and not what you'd expect at a high-end resort (that charges high-end resort nightly fees).

Bottom-Line - Don't believe all the glowing reviews on this site. Do yourself a favor and either rent a nice home at the Lely Resort or book a nice room in downtown Naples with one of the major chain hotels. Avoid GreenLinks Resorts, as you'll be very disappointed.

My wife and twin teenagers just returned from a very nice vacation in Naples, during which we stayed in a 3-bedroom suite at the Greenlinks resort. This was our first trip to Naples, which we found to be quite enjoyable. While not fancy, the Greenlinks was a fairly new condo within a larger community called the Lely Grand. The condo (room 521) was clean and spacious with a nice view of the 10th hole of the Flamingo Island course, one of three within the Lely complex. When booking the reservation online, I noticed that (not surprisingly) we were paying a premium for Christmas week. Even so, I found the cost to be quite reasonable relative to the accomodations. Traveling at another time of year looks like a virtual "steal".

My son and I played the two courses available to non-residents, the Mustang and Flamingo Island courses. Both courses were in great shape. While they both had fairly open fairways (great for a slicer like me), the hilly nature of the Flamingo Island made it quite a bit more difficult than the Mustang.

The Greenlinks has a fairly small pool with a comfortable lounge area surrounding it. The restaurant at the nearby Clubhouse had a very nice and reasonably priced breakfast buffet. We also had an enjoyable lunch there.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The small lobby area has a single Internet-connected PC available for guest use and a wireless connection available there (but not in the rooms) in case you bring your own laptop PC. You may have read in other reviews about the home-baked cookies and muffins. While we never made it for the muffins (apparently they came out at 8AM), we did take advantage of the cookies on two occasions, when they came out at 3PM. While the rest of my family loved them, they were a little raw for my taste. Nonetheless, this is a nice little touch.

It should be pointed out that the Greenlinks is in a residentail area of Naples which is a considerable distance from the main (upscale) shopping district, a 15-20 minute drive. Our favoiite meal was at Bice, an excellent Italian restaurant with siblings elsewhere in the U.S. and other parts of the world. When the weather is warm (as it was for our stay) it's great to sit at a table outdoors. We also took a pleasurable sightseeing tour on the Naples Princess, where the main feature is an impressive array of waterfront mansions.

This was a relaxing and enjoyable trip. We will definitely return to Naples and Greenlinks.
