“Nice Lunch Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

This is a very nice English Pub located in the rear of the shops at the Strata at Mercato; close to Tamiami Trail. We were caught in a rain storm while shopping so decided to stop for lunch. Great idea....food and service was very good. Too bad it is so far from where we were staying because the area has several neat late night spots.

“First visit this year”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

We were at this pub about a year ago & had the fish & chips. It was the worst I have had in a long time. The actual food was good but as for the batter on the fish I could have soled my shoes with it. On this visit we asked if the fish was done the same way & the waitress said it was so we steered clear of it. They really need to learn how to make proper British battered fish.
We had the sausage & mash instead. Still not impressed so we have decided not to bother going back. If you are looking for proper fish & chips the Naples English pub is the best place.
I would also suggest that the mini kilts do not suit older waitresses especially when they bend over. They would look a lot better in a long tartan dress. Only saying....

“Great eats, but service us lacking!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

Ate here with spouse, step-son and grandson. Everybody enjoyed food enormously. Ham and Cheese pretzel sandwich a treat. English dip sandwich also over the top. Service -ugh! Beverage glasses were not refilled in timely manner. Server didn't arrive to take food order until15 minutes after drinks delivered. Delivery of food also not done in professional manner -everything auctioned off -"OK, who ordered the ham and cheese?"
Good atmosphere, clean environment, decent grub. Servers sadly in need of training.

“Great Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Found this gem while doing a search for a casual pub type atmosphere for good apps and bar food. We were not disappointed. Service was great. The goat cheese app was good as was the ham and cheese pretzel sandwhich and the French dip style sandwich. Finished it off with the fried pound cake and berry dessert. Wish this was in Columbus as it would be a local favorite.

“Real beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

We recently had to visit Naples for a family event and took great advantage of The Pub during our stay. Knowing the pickins are pretty slim for craft beer in Naples, I did some research in advance and found The Pub. Reconnaissance pays off!

The Pub offers a great selection of quality beers - British, Scottish, & Irish as well as American Craft brews & a couple local Southwest Florida options, and more. About 30 taps worth, plus a large selection of bottles. Most bars & restaurants in the area only offer the standard big-name beers. What a pleasant surprise to be able to enjoy an Imperial pint of a fantastic stout or porter or pretty much whatever strikes your fancy in the middle of an upscale shopping area. And the drink prices were astoundingly low!

We mainly stopped by in the evenings for a pint or two, but did have lunch here on our last day. There were five us for lunch, and all were very happy with our meals. Good quality, very tasty dishes and good prices. The service was excellent on all our visits; knowledgeable and friendly bartenders & no complaints with our lunch server.

Be aware that they do get very busy later in the evenings. They had a live band on a Thursday night & a DJ on Saturday night. It got pretty crowded & loud, but the service never suffered. Our preference is the quieter times, but we had no problem returning when we knew it'd be busy.

We're pretty well covered for beer at home, but if they had a location here, we'd surely stop in for a visit now & then. And in Naples, they were a Godsend.
