Lets start this review by prefacing it with the understanding that to me good pizza is a Northeastern thin crust product not a thick doughy excuse which is best called Chicago style pizza. That distinction being made, by my standards, Mangino's offers Chicago Pizza as opposed to classic pizza.
That said Mangino's is a cute take out oriented operation stuffed into a small storefront, thus lacking the capacity for much dining in experience. Their pies are offered in three sizes, come with a sweet tomato sauce, gobs of cheese and a multitude of different optional toppings. They also offer an assortment of appetizers and salad which includes a good Italian wedding soup..
Our large cheese and meatball pie looked better than it really turned out to be due in large part to its Chicago hertigage. While it might serve to limit its customer base, outfits such as Mangino's might be better served by qualifying their ads, online and conventional, to showing that their product is Chicago style.
To me This was a waste of. Time and money.
