I spent three nights in Naples, FL, in January 2008 -- the first one at the Hawthorn Suites, and the next two nights in different, luxury resort hotels.

The Hawthorn was undergoing some renovations -- new wallpaper was being installed when I was there. The room was spacious, nicely laid out, and quiet. The bed was fantastic -- every bit as good as those offered in the resorts, and for a lot less money. The hotel was clean and well kept; wired internet access from the room was very quick and free!

The staff at the front desk were friendly; checking in was quick and pleasant, and checking out was a breeze.

This seems to be a very nice place to stay. It's near the interstate, not on the beach, so the rates are considerably lower than the resorts.

All in all, a very nice experience.

Nice hotel, away from the tourist area. Only about ten minutes to get to the beach or about 15 minutes to get to the big shopping districts. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. Room had a dvd player and there is a Blockbuster just a few blocks away which worked out great. Also had a full kitchen that helped a lot. Restaurants are VERY expensive in the area so we'd eat one meal in the room each day to cut down on costs. Pool was clean but a little on the cool side, I don't believe it was heated. Putting green was a great escape, I brought my putter and I was the only one out there playing so it was very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful landscaping and the front desk staff was exceptional. Had never stayed at a Hawthorn Suites before, but based upon this stay, I would definitely recommend.

This hotel is definitely customer-service oriented! I will say up-front that the studio room is NOT big enough for a family of four...my mistake (trying to save $20). But it was exceptionally clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful, and friendly, even though it was busy. Their 24-hour 'convenience store' next to the front desk had everything I could have wanted. Many restaurants and stores nearby, and it's very easy to get on/off the highway from the location. The exercise room was awesome! The morning breakfast was good, and the staff did the best they could to restock as quickly as possible (there was a visiting teenage swim team that a) had no qualms about butting in line, b) had no issues with showing up at breakfast in swimsuits only, and c) no manners or adult supervision...but that's not the hotel's responsibility.) I would, and will, absolutely stay here again (we are frequent visitors to the Naples area, and this is MUCH better than hotels we found in the downtown area). I strongly recommend it...but if you have more than two in your group...go with the larger room! ;-)

My family and I stayed for one night on July 21, 2007 in a two-bedroom suite. The suite was very clean, beds were comfortable, and it had a well-equipped full kitchen. I liked that the rooms had free wireless internet which was extremely fast. The breakfast buffet was decent. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. This hotel is a great value for the price and I would stay here again.
