We just returned from a long weekend in Naples. This was our first experience at this hotel and we absolutely loved it. If you are looking for resort type amenities this is not the place for you. It is small and quaint and very nice clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and the location is better than any hotel in Naples. Located only 1 block from the beach and a very easy walk to Old Naples. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place in an ideal location.

This was once our favorite place in Naples. Now they advertise a resturant that is not there. They charge you for the stall bagels that some mornings you have to heat up yourself. There are holes in the rugs in the bathroom. The housekeepers work somewhere else so they arrive about 3 in the afternoon. All the services are gone. The hot tub is cold. We will not be back and we love Naples

This hotel could be great, but it isn't. The location is perfect. Just a little over a block to the beach and at the intersection of Fifth Ave and Third Street which is a great location in Old Town. The hotel is very pretty and secluded. The rooms are nice. Like I said, should have been great. The overwhelming feeling of this hotel though is that it is barely solvent. The Continental breakfast was a stale grocery store bagel. Though the website and the site I booked through indicated there was a restaurant and there is even a menu on the hotel's website, this is not true. It is closed. This means that after you drink the two bottles of water in your room when you arrive, you are out of luck if you want anything to eat or drink. The website also promised wireless. As this was a working vacation, this was important to us. Turns out that the wireless is only sometimes available and only out by the pool, not in the rooms. After we got sick of trying to send or download documents and then losing signal, we walked two blocks to the coffee shop up the street and did our computer work there. Their wireless was fine. Also, when we first arrived it was a few hours before the check in time of 3 p.m. The place was deserted. No one at the pool and no cars in the lot. We asked if we could get into our room early but were told no, that it wasn't ready. Really? There were no other guests at the hotel. We were directed to the restroom of the spa to change from our travel clothes (cold in the Northeast). The spa was dark and totally empty. While another couple arrived for a few nights and I did see a second couple on our last day, the over-all feeling was "empty". The restaurant was shuttered. This is early Nov, in NAples and it is the beginning of the busy season. I would be reluctant to make reservations at this place too far in advance. Finally, the last day we were there we found someone had hit our rental car while it was parked in the hotel lot. We reported this to the woman at the desk who couldn't have cared less. There was only one other car in the lot and it was undamaged. The hotel lot is really only in use by people at the hotel as it is down a small lane and well onto the hotel property. We suggested that as it was white paint on our car, that perhaps the hotel would like to check with the Comcast man who was working at the hotel as he had a white van. After first denying that Comcast had been there (I saw the COmcast man twice during our stay within the hotel) the woman finally just said she couldn't do that. Okay, so what do I take away from this? I think this is a hotel that is very pretty and nicely located but I wouldn't go there again expecting any better treatment. Too bad as it really is a lovely old hotel.

The lovely lanai suite with two entrances was convenient and super clean. Since it was off season the hotel was a private villa. It is convenient to shopping and dining on both 5th ave and 3rd ave. A short walk to. the beach too. The staff is helpful and gracious. However, there is no restaurant ..tons close by...or bar service. The pool is perfect with the wonderful flowering foliage is lush and tropical. We loved our stay and hope to return.

The location was excellent but that was it. The website apparently had a fine print note about a 13.5% charge per night for a resort fee. It would have been nice to have been told this at some point prior to checkout. With that additional charge we could have just stayed at an actual resort with ammenities worth the money. The mini bar that was supposed to be in the room was a broken mini fridge with no alcohol and didn't even keep things cool. The spa hot tub was covered with algae and the water was green. The cable broke during our stay and was never fixed, however, cable was part of the reason to charge a resort fee. So tell me, why did we have to pay?
