Owner description: Much more than a walk-thru zoo, this historic tropical garden and nationally accredited zoo features a full day of wildlife experiences to delight guests with the natural world to inspire the conservation of our planet's remaining wild areas and their wondrous inhabitants. New for 2014: Discover the wonders of South America featuring a Giant anteater, Patagonian cavies, Cotton-top tamarins, and more. Get wildly close to the cheetahs at viewing windows. Hand-feed the herd of giraffe plus enjoy your favorite animals like lions, tigers, and bears. Naples Zoo is one of only four zoos in the nation to feature YouTube-favorites: African honey badgers. Plus discover rarely seen species including Malagasy fosas and 2 of less than 20 striped hyenas in the nation. Ask those questions you've always wondered about at the Meet the Keeper Series. Be fascinated by rare creatures during premier wildlife shows. Cruise through islands of monkeys, lemurs, and apes. Watch our professional staff hand-feed American alligators while dispelling popular myths. Snap great photos and learn the facts behind the fiction at a venomous snake talk. It's wild fun from apes to zebras. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is a nonprofit organization cooperating in conservation programs both in and outside the wild for endangered species. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the organization that sets the highest standards for wildlife care, education, and conservation. The garden also holds accreditation by The Morton Register of Arboreta and is a member of the American Public Gardens Association.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Looking for something different to do? The Naples Zoo is a great little attraction for all ages. You can make it through the zoo in 2-4 hours so you'll have time to hit the beach! There's plenty of shade trees to keep you cool. Animal handler talks are included in the visit as well as a fun and informative boat ride to view the monkeys and primates living on some tiny islands. Don't forget your AAA card to get discounted tickets.

“Nice zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Drove from Ft Myers - about an hour. Nice zoo. Fee for admisson but check the free map/guides for discount coupons - some have more discounts than others. Liked all the gators. Have several meet the keeper and feeding opportunities for certain exhibits. Also a couple of shows done nicely with humor. Not a huge place - very walkable without over-stressing yourself - ideal for both seniors and kids. For a fee you can even feed the giraffes or ride a camel and get your picture taken. Very enjoyable visit.

“Animal fin.”

Always have a great time just wish they didn't ask for money to ride camels and feed animals as we pay enough to get in.

“Great Little Zoo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a very nice zoo for little ones. There are several places they can play and blow off steam. You can get really close to the animals. In some cases, you are only 6' away from the big cats as a trainer feeds them. It is a bit shabby but still well worth a visit.

“Fun, especially the seven giraffes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We spent several hours here, took the boat ride to see the primate exhibit which is unique to see them be "free" instead of caged. You must access it by boat as it is the water that keeps them on their islands. They had seven adolescent giraffes on exhibit and people can feed them, that was magnificent. A fun zoo with much to see.
