The boat ride is included in the price of admission and is well worth it. The whole place is newly renovated. They have an incredible staff of knowledgeable volunteers!

“Interesting place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

The boat ride would have to be the highlight of the day. Nice to see the use of environmentally friendly electric boats. Nice history lesson and we did see a few birds. The animal hospital is not what we were expecting, we thought we would actually see animals being cared for not just a feeding room that is hit or miss. We did not do the nature walk due to rain but we did go to the gazebo and if you look closely, you may see turtles, snakes and birds hunting fish.

“A Slice of Nature in Downtown Naples”

The Canal Boat Ride was quiet, peaceful, and entertaining. Displays in the Learning Center are excellent and very educational. Knowledgeable volunteers are always available to explain or to embellish.

“Very interesting and informative visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I have recently visited the reserve. It's a wonderful place and so interesting. We took the electric boat ride with a well informed volunteer and went through the mangroves and out into the Gordon River. The information centre is terrific and we learnt so much about the Everglades, the Gulf, the birds and animals in Florida. We also saw Pelicans who were being looked after and rehabilitated. We will certainly visit again on our next trip to Naples. Thank you for all your hard work.

“Turtle Cruise to Isles of Capri”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Just took a cruise on the Good Fortune II for a talk on sea turtles and the Eco system and other animals in southwest Florida. Jeff and Mary were delightful, well informed, excellent speakers, amusing and insightful as they talked about sea turtles, all species of birds, mammals, plant life, etc as it relates to our area. Very educational trip.
