“Getaway Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

The owners Greg & Patti are very accommodating with an early evening wine and cheese, incredible breakfast, and very comfortable rooms. We could not ask for better accommodations. For those unfamiliar with Mount Dora it is a quaint little town, perfect for the daily browser, scenic, lots of shopping and an many good restaurants.
While there we also played golf at a little hidden gem formerly Deer Run Golf Course a challenge for all players.

We have just returned from three weeks touring Florida and one of the highlights was staying with Patty and Gordy in Mount Dora. We enjoyed the super breakfasts prepared by Gordy and the evening snacks on the patio. The lovely weather and dips in the pool made our visit even better. We were so lucky to find Grandview, (in more ways than one following our getting lost after our arrival in Tampa!) and will certainly be returning next year if we can.

Our first visit to mt. Dora was enhanced by a pleasant stay at the Grandview.
Patty and Gordon were gracious hosts who made us feel welcome after our drive up there, and were helpful throughout the weekend.
The Audubon Room was decent size, had lots of light and a huge bathroom. The bed was not the most comfortable, however.
The B & B was a few walkable blocks from downtown, and we walked easily to dinner and lunch as well as exploring the small town.
We cycled each morning, and the Lakeshore drive run to Tavares made a great start to each morning before breakfast.
Breakfast was a little heavy, and I would have preferred something lighter, but was good none the less.
A very nice weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Audubon room was large but bed a little uncomfortable.

Had a wonderful stay in a familiar atmosphere. Very friendly and careing hosts, nice location with pool, clean rooms with very comfortable bed. Very good value for the price. Conveniantly located in 5 min. waling distance to center. Would come back for a longer stay in this B&B any time again.

What a lovely property owned and managed by two wonderful people - Patty and Gordy. They are extremely helpful and sincere. Friendly social hours from 5-6. Delicious and ample breakfasts. This most likely tops our B&B experience.

Great place to kick off your stay in Mount Dora. The owners, Gordy and Patty were fantastic. They did their utmost to make us feel welcome and to help us have a great experience in Mt Dora. We happened to be staying at the same time as some of their repeat customers. To me that speaks volumes about the kind of place the Grandview is. Especially loved the evening chats with other guests on the big front porch, with a nice glass of wine and a fruit and cheese tray. Just perfect!

We had planned a get-together with long-term friends and we all stayed at the Grandview for 3 days/nights. We felt as though we were at home! Gordie and Patti are wonderful inkeepers/hosts and they gave us (as well as the other guests at the Grandview) the use of the common areas in the house as well as the grounds. The B&B is well-cared for and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is an incredible experience--perfectly prepared and presented. Each evening, Gordie and Patti hosted a wine & cheese social for all guests and it provided a wonderful opportunity for great conversation with our hosts as well as other guests. Gordie will also serve as an invaluable source of information, directions, and he and Patti will even make dinner reservations at a restaurant of your choice. It was the best B&B experience we have ever had.
