Simply put. It is the Best Bed & Breakfast you can choose in Mt. Dora. There is none better. Gordie & Patti go above and beyond to make sure your stay is superior. The house, the setting, the rooms, the home style touches, the ambiance, the food, the service and most of all the charming and wondetful hosts make this the ultimate and only choice! The lovely town of Mt. Dora is like an oasis from the hectic big cities. Everything is in walking distance. Another great gem are the segway tours and the blue spring kayak tours. All in all it is the best money and the greatest time you will spend! Don't hesitate to book a stay at grandest Bed & Breakfast of them all, The magnificent Grandview!

My mom, son & I stayed 4 nights with Patti & Gordie to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday. Our room was very clean & comfortable and the beautifully restored home was filled with charm. The owners went above & beyond to make us feel at home & our stay wonderful. It is so much better than staying in a hotel - the atmosphere is very relaxing. The extravagant breakfasts are to die for - I've never tasted grits that delicious!

I have spent the last four years going to Reninigers Antique Fair and staying with Patty and Gordy at the Grandview B&B. It is BY FAR the best B&B in Mount Dora. I have stayed in a total of 5 over the years and keep coming back to the Grandview. The breakfast and happy hour appetizer platter and wine make it super special and allow the guest to get to know one another.

The host and hostess are what makes The Grandview so special.. Plus the breakfasts are better than you will get in any 5 star restaurant. The location is within walking distance of town with many great restaurants and shops to visit.

We stayed October 24th and 25th at the Grandview to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Not knowing it was the weekend of the big art and craft festival in Mt. Dora I was a little leary of the weekend being relaxing as was our intention. I did alot of research on B and B in Mr. Dora as we have never stayed at one. The reviews for the Grandview were exceptional so that was my choice. It did not disappoint. I really mean THEY did not disappoint. The owners Patti and Gordie were unbelievable. I called in advance to ask about ordering flowers for my wife and Patti gave me a couple of options and closed the call with " I would be happy to go pick the flowers up for you ". Really ? What service is that... The evening gathering with a glass of wine and cheese plate is a great touch. Had a chance to meet most of the other guests staying there as well as sit and talk with Patti and Gordie. They offered to help with any other arrangements with dinner and lunch plans. Home made cookies, bottle of water to go, you name it they were there. Breakfast was quite filling as they offer fresh cut fruit as well as eggs, bacon, sausage and breakfast potatoes. On Sunday we had an unforgettable bisquit that was explained to us by Patti how to create. My wife made them from the instructions given last weekend and my two boys really enjoyed them. Our room was clean, well decororated and the bed was very comfortable as well. Gordie did a great job with breakfast. The food was very tasty and the presentation was appealing. We were a couple of blocks from Downtown Mt. Dora so we parked the car and just walked. We will be back, the stay was outstanding.

Room Tip: Call in advance as they fill up quickly....

Mt. Dora is a neat little town, a downtown refurbished, beautiful lake, and a great place to stay, Grandview B&B.
Hospitality was great, room was very nice, food was excellent.
It was worth a much longer stay, but we had to go.
We'll go back the first chance we get.

Room Tip: second floor rooms are great, but the stairway is long…old fools like us should have stayed on floor...

Our stay at Grandview bed and breakfast.

We loved our stay, Patti and Gordie were excellent hosts.  They took care of us in every way. Patti was very helpful with walking trips and restaurant  recommendations. We very much enjoyed the nature walk she recommended in a nearby park along Lake Dora.  We saw an alligator along the lake shore during our return trip.  The cool breezes from Lake Dora made our walk very comfortable and relaxing.

Gordie took a lot of pride in our breakfast each morning.  They were excellent!  We ate like kings and queens and felt no desire for more food until well into the afternoon.  Every afternoon at 5 pm Patti and Gordie offered wine and cheeses and provided interesting conversation.  We learned about the history of the Grandview, Mount Dra, and Gordie's passion for gourmet cooking.

All of the rooms at The Grandview were extremely clean and tastefully decorated.  We needed nothing and felt very at home during our stay.

Mount Dora very charming, quaint, and quiet.  The Spanish Moss hanging from the numerous oak trees, mixed in among the Palm Trees, gave Mount Dora the feel of Historic Savanah, GA in the middle of Florida.  Given the extremely hectic pace of South Florida, Miami in particular,  a stay at The Grandview was exactly the kind of relaxing vacation that we needed.  We loved the quiet, and the serene atmosphere of this small city.

For a truly enjoyable and relaxing vacation nothing tops Patti and Gordie's Grandview B &B in Mount Dora.  We enjoyed our stay so much, Mount Dora and vicinity is currently at the top of our "cities for retirement" list.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent so you can't go wrong.
