“Absolutely Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

What an incredible, relaxing, and beautiful place. The Innkeepers, Patti and Gordie, were incredible hosts. We had an accreditation site team of six members staying for four days and we were treated like royalty the entire time. Rooms were very clean and well kept, the grounds were so beautiful and provided an incredibly relaxing environment. Breakfasts were wonderful and we enjoyed talking and getting to know our Innkeepers (who always make you feel as though you have just arrived at your best friend's home). Within walking distance from beautiful downtown Mt. Dora. We can't wait to go back and stay with our families. If you are traveling to Lake County, you should definitely stay at the Grandview!

Gordy and Patti were absolutely wonderful. As someone else said, we felt at home right from the beginning. Our room was very clean, the breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Wine and cheese are served in the afternoon and we had a great time talking with the other guests. We were just a very short walk to all the shops in Mt. Dora. We would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Gordie and Patti are such wonderful hosts. The facility is spotless, breakfast is wonderful, and the wine and cheese in the late afternoon along with conversing with the owners and guests is very refreshing. Wonderful romantic get away or a great place to relax and visit the little shops with the wife. There are some very nice eating faclities as well. Fourth time for us, not the last.

Room Tip: The windmill room is large with a special touch. Find out for yourself.

How nice is it to go to a new place and feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment you arrive to the time you check out. At the Grandveiw that is exactly what you will find. The inn is spotlessly clean Victorian house with VERY comfortable beds. Charming Innkeeper's and possibly the best breakfast anywhere. Two block walk to the shops and restaurants in Mount Dora.

Took my mom for her birthday weekend. Gordy and Patti greeted us with open arms and carried our luggage in from the car. The whole weekend they bent over backwards with hospitality. You don't have to lift a finger. The rooms were beautiful and quaint and most importantly quiet! A must stay while in Mt Dora.

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, Mt. Dora is the perfect town to do this - it is as quaint as you can get. The Grandview is also a quaint B&B with the perfect B&B owners. Location is ideal - short walking distance into town, but far enough way to avoid the nighttime noise. Like everyone else, I can't say enough about the breakfasts! Only word of warning - if you haven't been to a B&B before and aren't familiar with the "family type atmosphere", be prepared to share a portion of your time with strangers!

This was our third stay at the Grandview, and we would go again next week if we could. Gordie and Patti are gracious yet relaxed hosts. I'm not generally a fan of B & B's but this feels like family. The rooms are all totally updated, the amenities perfect down to the last detail. The Grandview is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops, and Gordie and Patti always have the perfect recommendation based on your personal interests and preferences.
It takes special people to do this day in and day out, but they NEVER skip a beat. Oh, and the breakfasts are worth the visit themselves.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
