“Quaint all the way around”

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, Mt. Dora is the perfect town to do this - it is as quaint as you can get. The Grandview is also a quaint B&B with the perfect B&B owners. Location is ideal - short walking distance into town, but far enough way to avoid the nighttime noise. Like everyone else, I can't say enough about the breakfasts! Only word of warning - if you haven't been to a B&B before and aren't familiar with the "family type atmosphere", be prepared to share a portion of your time with strangers!

This was our third stay at the Grandview, and we would go again next week if we could. Gordie and Patti are gracious yet relaxed hosts. I'm not generally a fan of B & B's but this feels like family. The rooms are all totally updated, the amenities perfect down to the last detail. The Grandview is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops, and Gordie and Patti always have the perfect recommendation based on your personal interests and preferences.
It takes special people to do this day in and day out, but they NEVER skip a beat. Oh, and the breakfasts are worth the visit themselves.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My husband and I just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary at the Grandview. This was my first stay at a B&B and I must say it was everything I expected and more. The grounds are beautiful and the room was spotless! Pattie and Gordie were very gracious hosts offering info and help with reservations, directions and anything we could possibly need. We expecially enjoyed the great breakfasts and Wine and Cheese and 5pm! What a wonderful time we had. We'll certainly be back soon. I'd recommend it to anyone!

My husband & I recently had a wonderful stay at the Grandview Bed & Breakfast. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet getaway. It's a great place to unwind & relax! The house & the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the Windmill Cottage which was very clean & comfortable. The salt water pool was so relaxing. The location of the B&B is perfect. Everything is in walking distance - lovely restaurants, quaint shops, Lake Dora etc. The Innkeepers, Gordie & Patti are the best! They are both super friendly and know all the ins & outs of Mount Dora. Patti even offered to take care of making reservations for us at the Goblin Market - a restaurant that they highly recommended (which, by the way, was fantastic!). The wine & cheese served poolside was a plus too! It's all those nice touches that made our stay a memorable one! We definitely hope to visit again in the future!

This B&B is the most delightful place my family and I have stayed. It was spotless, spacious and the breakfast was delicious. It was my teenage daughters first B&B experience and she never wants to stay in a hotel again. The best part of our stay were Patty and Gordy, the owners. They were so nice and felt like old friends by the end of our stay. Definitely pick this place to stay if your visiting Mt Dora.

After reading the other reviews we had set the bar very high. Pattie and Gordy made our stay perfect. This was our 42en anniversary and we wanted something nice and quiet. By choosing to go through the middle of the week it was perfect. Breakfast was one of the best we have had at B&B,s. If served make sure and get the French Toast.

Room Tip: All of the rooms appeared to be great. Had plenty of storage older charm updated to todays modern co...

After having a very long and tiring day trying to check in at another hotel only to find it uninhabitable this place and its innkeepers saved our day. Patty and Gordie are the most hospitable innkeepers we have incountered, the level of care and concern for their guests and the inn are second to none. The rooms are crisp, comfortable, and welcoming. although we did not have time to enjoy the pool it was sparkling clean. All that being said the breakfast itself is worth coming for. Excellent, Thank You
