I visited the Palm Tree Grille with my wife (we're from New Jersey) and another couple (from another part of Florida). The other couple (my sister and her husband) stumbled upon The Palm Tree Grille when their hotel clerk told them to check out the restaurants on Donnelly Street. The restaurant is casual and features Italian cuisine, but has a fantastic selection of delectable entrees. Each of us were very pleased with our selections. The menu featured creative dishes as well as typical Italian fare. The typical no-frills pasta entrees started at $10-12 and the most expensive item on the menu was the seafood platter at $22.00. Most entrees were in the $12-$17 range. I ordered a chicken dish from the specials menu that was superb ($17). The entrees are fairly decent-sized to good-sized portions. The dinners do come with rolls that are pretty tasty. They do offer a decent selection of beer and wine as well. None of us ordered any appetizers or desserts, so I really can't comment on that.
Other than the food, one very nice aspect of the meal was no wait time. We arrived at a little before 8:00pm on a Friday night and were seated immediately (as opposed to all of the restaurants on 441 which were jammed packed). It's not a big place, but there was ample seating. It's a nice, quaint setting with nicely-painted murals on the walls. The service was very good and the waitress was very friendly and accommodating.
Overall, I'd give The Palm Tree Grille about 4.5 out of 5 stars. Excellent food at a good price.
