Walking around Mount Dora during this week's rain, we wanted to have a good meal without freezing in air conditioning. We happened upon Copacabana and were attracted by their outside dining area (under a large awning). It was a good choice. We enjoyed sitting outside where we could be warm, while still being under cover. I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and my companion the chicken and rice. You aren't likely to regret chicken and rice in any decent Cuban restaurant, and Copacabana is more than decent. I was really pleased with the shrimp. They were just done, not overcooked. They were tender, and the garlic sauce was really perfect. The rice was nice, and the portions were generous.
For dessert we shared a flan, and we were especially happy to see that it wasn't overcooked. I'd recommend Copacabana for anyone who likes the pleasant and mild cuisine of Cuba. It's pretty romantic outside in the evening.
