I was skeptical prior to booking, but upon arrival, grounds were clean, decor is tasteful and the check-in staff on August 17, 2012 was great! It took us 5 mins to check in. Only bad thing is they need new carpet in the hallways, especially near the conference/meeting rooms. The carpet was always vacumed, but had a stuffy ordor, nothing unbearable for us. I had the King bed with sofa room. And my friends had the double bed room. It was a decent size, very clean! Bed and pillows was like heaven. Flat screen TV, updated furniture, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker w/ free coffee. Internet worked ok, AC worked well, radio/alarm clock was equiped to play your iPhone/iPod or other mp3 device. The bathroom was immaculate! All updated, the bathroom was either granite or marble, but it was new and nice. toiletries provided, hairdryer, fluffy quality Hilton towels, clean tub/shower stall, shower head was the big round ones, curved shower rod, overall bathroom was decent size and nice. Lots of parking, free and I did feel very safe! The hotel is located in a very nice and safe part of south florida. I am originally from Miami, but moved away 4 years ago,so I know what im talking about. Although a little far from the beach or downtown Miami, this place is worth the money and drive. There is a gas station, drug store and bank on the corner. A shopping center with a grocery store and fast food are within a 10-15 min walking distance, pizza spot is a 5min drive away. Interstate 75 is a 1-2 min drive from hotel.Overall this hotel was great, we will be back, my new spot whenever I visit Miami. Do not believe the negative reviews. The only negative is the carpet in the hallways, not in the rooms. Remember you can't please everyone.

Stayed two nights for business travel on 8/8 and 8/9. The location was perfect, only 5 miles from the office. The staff was nice and very inviting. They went out of their way to speak each time I arrived or departed the hotel. My king room was clean and spacious. Upon my arrival there was a welcome note, bottled water, soda and mints waiting for me. The towels and linens were in great shape. The shower head has multiple settings. The closet was smaller than the typical Garden Inn closet. Each day when i returned from work they had a mini reception in the lobby for everyone to enjoy coffee, juice, water and cookies. My only complaint would be about the hallway. My room was on the 2nd floor and the hallway was always stuffy and did not smell fresh. The carpet is in need of a good cleaning BUT it was always vacuumed! :-) Nevertheless I had a great stay and will stay again when I return.

Stayed for business.

Pros: Quiet room, plenty of towels, adequate bed ( a little firm for my taste) and space. Reasonably priced.

Cons: Dirty/stained carpet in my room, poor quality food in the hotel, terrible sour smell greets you followed by a strong smell of air freshner as you move towards the elevator. The smell is always present, I stayed for a week. The hotel could use a new cleaning crew.

I thought Hilton was considered a top chain? I was not impressed.

The Hilton Garden Inn was very welcoming with warm smiles, accurate check-in information and adjustable beds. It was very clean from my room to the lobby (great cookies) to the workout room. The grill had a variety of choices and all that I had was delicious. On a Wednesday evening there was live music being played in the lobby. It was very enjoyable sitting around visiting and listening and eating a meal. It may not have been so enjoyable if you were staying in a room on the first floor? The hotel location was perfect for business but a downside is that there is nothing really immediately around it except other hotels. Pembroke Gardens is a beautiful outdoor mall not far if driving but not within walking distance.
