This is not only my favorite but my family & friends too as well as many others who live in the area from Cowie Hill-East/West Pennant and few tourists, people from downtown in the Summer. We try to keep it a secret if we could as it's not as popular as the other beaches in/outer areas of the HRM(Halifax Regional Municipality) the white sandy beach, one of 3 and (yes,1 is a nude beach)dunes greet you as you drive in and walk down the short board walk. The water is usually the coldest out of the most popular beaches but,if were given another record breaking hot Summer then this will change to warmer temps. The best thing about here,it's not as 1/2 crowded as the others and that's a good thing! I look forward to Summer of 2013 to spend time with my new Granddaughter there and one more thing before I end this,"Make sure to bring food/drink with you as there is no food trucks present but there is a NSLC/Mishoo's Restaurant&Take out and convenience store all in one". I hope you take the time to check out this beautiful white sand beach anytime of the year, you will not be disappointed!!!
