“A treat worthy of Doc Hollywood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Great little hole-in-the-wall deli. Had Cuban Sandwich which billed itself as the best Cuban north of Havana. A big boast but it came close. Large sandwich with subtle flavors, full of meat and satisfying. Wife had a reuben that was very good (not NY Deli great but southern respectable). Store has a funky atmosphere which lends to the charm. Great pit stop that blends into the town's vibe.

“Cafe made interesting with quirky display”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2011

Its great that they had choice of indoor and outdoor sitting. The indoor tables are an artwork on its own displaying vintage items. If not for these, it would just a another small quaint cafe.

Tried the reuben for lunch (as recommended by many reviews) and it didnt disappoint. It was toasted just right.

Check out the souvenirs in the store too. A bit pricy but interesting.

“Never disappoints!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2011

Repeat visitor - I love the quirky look of this place, which also sells varied merchandise. I’ve been here on a festival day, or with a large group of family, or with my husband; the food has always been great, and the staff friendly and helpful. You won’t really find “old Florida” food but there is a nice variety of sandwiches, and soup, at good prices. My favorites are the Cubans and the Reubens! Chips must be purchased separately. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors most recently; the glass-topped tables protect Florida memorabilia. Love the front porch! Sometimes you’ll find live music there. Plan a day browsing Micanopy’s shops and make this your stop for lunch.
