Picked because of reviews, used points for the stay. Overall good, clean hotel. Breakfast is average, staff friendly. One complaint, at 8 am Sunday, housekeeping bangs on door to clean room. Friends with us in another room had the same experience. Answer door to a maid who says sorry for disturbing us, and bangs loudly on next door. The house keeping crew was so loud, I am sure that they woke everyone up. Really, I am checking out at 11, no need to knock at 8!
TIP - Put out the "do not disturb" sign, and get a high number room, as the low numbers are close to the house keeping station, where they make lots of noise.

We stayed one night and had a negative experience at this hotel. There seemed to be some areas with some cleanliness issues. When we got to our room we found a cockroach, we called the front desk to see if there was anything they could do for us,even put us into a different room and they said no. Then we found another cockroach, called them again to ask for a refund, and now all of a sudden there's another room available. We switched rooms, (checked for cockroaches), went to bed and got out of there in the morning! Would not recommend this place!

I would recommend this for an overnight near the Miami Airport. The property appears to be recently renovated. Room and bed were excellent. The only complaint might be the need for more soundproof windows. I could easily hear noise from the parking lot with the windows closed. Lucky there wasn't much noise, but if there had been it would have been annoying. Above average hotel continental breakfast and eating area. Just a note, the earlier comment about the guy with a 12 pack of Keystone sitting out front...I think I saw the same guy. There are guys that are working in the area that stay at this hotel, hence sitting around outside in the evening having a beer. I was a single female, travelling alone, and felt perfectly safe here. Shuttle service to/from airport was also excellent. Very short wait at airport, and no wait at all in the AM going back to the airport, in fact I got to the airport way to Early. Their suggested airport times/waits posted in the room are a little exaggerated.

If you're staying here only for one night, it's OK. Pros are: being close to the airport and close to an off-the-airport car rental office which offers pick-up service. (Renting at the airport costs a lot more.) There are areas for improvement: The hotel should be more clear about how passengers are picked up at the Miami airport. You have to get out on the 2nd level and go to the median. The shuttle buses just circle around and you have to flag one of them down. The one for HIE is marked "Comfort Inn." So don't waste time looking for the shuttle bus stop. There is none. Also it takes a while for the bus to come and to get to the hotel because it has to stop several times around the airport to pick up the passengers.

When we arrived, there was only 1 bar of soap for both the sink and tub, which was inconvenient.

There's an IHOP across the parking lot. Other than that, there are no restaurants within walking distance. There are no shops either. It's not an interesting neighborhood and there's nothing to see. It's a clean place to sleep but not a place to stay for vacation.

We stay one night waiting to catch a flight the next day. The room we had was big, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. They offer a free airport shuttle and a free breakfast. The food has it's typical hotel variety selections but more enough to feed me. The hotel service was very good.
We never did get to the pool. The hotel is located in the typical airport neighbourhood. Not a lot real close but, a couple of small local restaurants. We did find a very good sports bar a short walk called Tom's NFL Sports Bar, east on 36th. So if you get this hotel for under $100 you are getting good value for your money.

The proximity to the airport and good restaurants was good enough reason to stay here, but I definitely want to stay here again because of the clean rooms and great service.
