“Friendly staff and cheap/free shuttle”

Free shuttle from Miami International. Also had a $1 fee for the shuttle to the port of Miami. We thought that was a complete steal of a deal. Saved us a decent amount in taxi fees. the restaurant had a great breakfast. Only problem is that it isn't in the best location to walk to restaurants or grocery stores if needed. Overall it was very good.

In 2009 the Holiday Inn Miami International Airport was one of the first properties to re-launch the new improved IHG- Holiday Inn product here in South Florida. This included a major renovation of all public area throughout the hotel, and added new Holiday Inn Hallmarks.
In 2014 the Holiday Inn Miami International Airport renovated AGAIN...... the hotel has BRAND NEW GUEST ROOMS & SUITES. These rooms are beautifully decorated with brand new top of the line furniture, refrigerators and microwaves in every room, larger 40" flat screen televisions, new bedding, additional outlets, and new bathrooms with your choice of a traditional tub or new shower.
The Holiday Inn Miami International Airport has added value: Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and in all guest rooms, Complimentary Parking, Complimentary Transportation To/From Miami International Airport, Transportation To the Port of Miami, Signature Car Rental & Juma's Transportation Services on Property (3rd parties), and on-site 24 Hour Lobby Cafe & Room Service, Our Famous Vista Lounge (formerly the Tree Top) with Live Salsa Music on Saturday Nights & Salsa Dance Lessons on Sundays, and my favorite our El Mirador Restaurant with amazing views is located on the 9th floor "Sky Level" the 360 degree view of the City Sky Line will take your breath away.

I am in the middle of a trip in which I am staying in a few Holiday Inns. I arrived here at 9am and was met with the best customer service I have ever received from any hotel - thank you Margot. At other properties I would have been told to go away until 3 pm check in time but not here. Within an hour I was in my room with a complimentary breakfast , goodie box with chips, water etc in and the ability to maximise my time in Miami. The room is clean and is modern with a nice 42" plasma and whilst it is an older property it is just what you need from an airport hotel. Functional with great views of downtown and the airport and a decent pool to top up your tan as well. A free regular shuttle to the airport , shuttle to the cruise terminals for a small charge plus a bus to the huge Dolphin Mall for $ 10 return several times per day just adds to my satisfaction. I will remember the service I received here for a long time.

It's a very old hotel. Room is old & outdated. Lobby is newly done and definitely photogenic. So is the bright color on the building exterior. Surprise Holiday Inn allows this standard.

Staff are good & friendly.

Provide free shuttle service to Miami Airport every 30min (24hr) which turns out to be VERY USEFUL. One can buy a weekly metro pass (cover both metro & bus, with airport as the hub) and this saves a lot of taxi fare. One can go to major tourist attractions like South Beach, Dolphin Mall, etc by public transport. It consumes more time though.

There's some fastfood restaurants opposite the hotel.

We stayed now 4 timesc,and we feel like home,even the barkeeper Austin,knows what we like,the Burgers are very good,the rooms very clean,the front desk staff wonderful,the busdriver to the airport helpfull,round about a very good stay for a very reasonable price,and if you can manage to stay on saturday,dance the night away with a very good cuban bufett,super music,very good,for us a must to be,when it fits

Room Tip: Room 600,very large,larger bathroom,watch the planes

As title says...why? Sheets and bedspreads needed replacing.Damp smell in room but it was spacious.
Bathroom door looked like a woodchuck had been gnawing it. Decoration from the 80's.
Had delayed flight so stayed one night. No offer of any toiletries. No complimentary breakfast,not even coffee. Coffee making facilities in room though, but wasn't drinkable.
Good shuttle service to and from airport. Staff friendly but don't try to go the extra mile when we were tired and upset.
We stay in budget hotels in New York and Miami for flight connections. New York ones are far superior so far and some cheaper. Would highly recommend Comfort Suites but Miami one was poor.
Most of this review is being picky so those just wanting budget at any cost, and not bothered about above, stay here.

Stayed here for 1 night after a cruise and before we flew out in the morning. Staff was extra friendly and the free shuttle ran 24hours a day which was very convenient. The hotel wasn't anything fancy but all in all a good stay and would go back!

Stayed here before a cruise in Feb. 2013. Arrived in Miami around 11:30pm. Called the hotel as we were gathering our luggage and they said the shuttle would be on its way. Waited outside for about 5 minutes before the shuttle arrived.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the front desk already had me checked in and given me a room upgrade (likely because of my Priority Club membership), so I spent less than a minute at the front desk. Room was more than what we needed for an 8 hour stay - very nice.

Continental breakfast the next morning was nice - lots of different options. Front desk staff was happy to arrange a taxi for us to the cruise terminal. Overall, very pleased with this Holiday Inn and would gladly stay here again.
