My room was huge (actually a small apartment), because I received an up-grade when checking in. Everything in my room was clean and looked new. The bed was wonderfully soft and I slept perfectly during my two nights stay. The water pressure in the shower could be somewhat higher.The location of the hotel is good, when you want to be in this area of Miami. There is a pedestrian area with lots of restaurant nearby the hotel. Reception was very friendly and welcoming. The access to the rooms is directly from the parking lot, which I found very convenient. I can recommend this place.

Room wasn't very clean, cold shower, and no fridge. It was very disappointing, won't be back and cannot recommend this location to anyone else. Looks like they are cutting corners in many aspects of the operation.

First of all: we really loved this place. Real good vintage1960 design has been partly refurbished. Now comes in fresh colors and crazy designs and is so refreshingly different from all the other hotels you usually get to see. Our suite 2123 was very spacious. We missed a safe in the room and, more importantly, a fridge.

The hotel is on a golf course and has nice views. Also nice pool area surrounded by a beautiful garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also breakfast is different. A (too) small diner style breakfast corner where charming Juanita (forgot her real name) serves breakfast cooked to order. The coffee can compete with Starbucks and there is even chinaware and real iron cutlery. Unfortunately we both felt sick after breakfast and it took us the whole day to recover. We reported the problem to the frontdesk and got many excuses and a room rate reduction.
There is a nice little gym with real good and up to date fitness equipment.

What is really not acceptable is that the shower in the morning was just lukewarm and the water pressure was much too low. And even worse: The drain pipe from the room above is just above your head when showering and it is dripping slowly! According to the calcination it has been dripping for years. The windows seem to be from 1960 and they are not closing tight. They would also need some cleaning at the lower part of the window frame. My wife tried to use the hairdrier which she found under the sink. It was totally filthy and greasy. Has not been cleaned in years.
When we came back in in the evening our corridor has not been vacuumed and our room has not been cleaned. There was also no hot water at all because the boiler of the building was broken. It was still not working the next morning but we could have a shower in another building.

Bottom line: This was our first and last stay in this hotel. Too many problems in just 2 nights. What a pitty, it is such a nice place... I want to emphasize that the staff was very helpful at all times. They even gave us a 50% reduction for all the trouble without being asked.

In the past several months I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The staff has been friendly and openly appreciative of the business. My issue of dissatisfaction has been with the hotel itself. In two of my three visits I experienced a hotel "kiss of death" which for me is a room that will not cool and a shower that will not heat. At Hotel Indigo it appears the quality of your visit is very much tied to the luck of your room draw. My second visit was completely without incident and actually caused me to bring family on my third attempt. In my third, and what will be my final, visit the lack of creature comforts was compounded by a large group of noisy guest drinking and partying in the parking lot. I had not experienced anything like this on my other two visits and their rowdy presence made for an uneasy passage to our room. The remains of the "parking lot party" also made for and an unpleasant morning exit picking our way through beer cans and broken bottles. At the end of the day no amount of friendly staff can overcome a hot sleep, a cold shower and a concern for family security.
