I read alot of reviews before we decided on this one. Location was perfect.. We went to a Miami game. Had a great view from the balcony . Staff was helpful and friendly. The bed was not that great but i must say...everything else was!

My experience with this hotel put me off of being in Miami. After only one day of having housekeeping come to my room, I had all of my medications, which were left out, disappear. Upon reporting this to management, I was told that none of the housekeeping staff had entered the room (even though the beds were made up and the towels had been replaced). Management was not helpful at all, the hotel had a musty odor, the bedspreads were from the 70's, and the room was just had a raunchy feel to it. I would not recommend this hotel at all and hope that it falls into ruin.

just got back from meeting friends for a pats/dolphoins game. I had booked hotel and got abit nervous reading some of the very negative reviews. our experience was fine. yes, its a standard hotel; nothing fancy but clean and so near the Sunlife stadium the walk to the game was easy. got to ailgate and walk back after. we found the staff pleasant, especially the wait staff at Legends. There was a tone of Pats fans staying at the hotel which made the 9th floor bar quite fun. Continental breakfast was just that; but coffee was hot and there was cereal, oatmeal and pastry. For the price its a good choice if yu are gpoing to a Dolphins game.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Sun Life Stadium since we were going to the NE Patriots v Miami Dolphins game on Sunday 12/1. We arrived mid-afternoon Saturday and checked in fairly quickly. Since we had a while to wait before meeting friends for supper, we went to "Legends", the sports bar/grill on the 9th floor for a couple of appetizers to tide us over. The prices were within reason and the food we had was decent "pub-grub" fare. In the morning, the continental breakfast was minimal - small Danish pastries, toast and bagels.

The room was standard, nothing special, but certainly not awful. Nice view of the racetrack and we enjoyed watching the horses exercise early on Sunday morning. There is a shuttle to and from the stadium for $15.00 per person r/t. We decided to walk - be advised there are no sidewalks, which could be a problem if you are not wearing sturdy shoes, or if you are trying to walk there with young children.

Overall, for the location and convenience, our stay at the El Palacio was good value for money, and we would stay again the next time we go to a game at Sun Life Stadium.
