“Spacious and well located, bigger doesn't mean better sometimes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

I spent 2 days in this Hotel during a business meeting last month. I know this area very well and like it more than the crowded South Beach, it depends on what you are looking for of course.
It is a big, nice and modern kind of Hotel. A huge Lobby with a nice bar located right in the middle welcomes you immediatly.
I received a big room, view to the sea, as expected for a Renaissance Hotel with a small kitchenet and spacious bathroom. That far all very good.
I was able to eat at both Restaurants (15000 Degrees offers a fine cousine and Cabana right next to the beach a delicious seafood option).
My only downsize was that the Internet connection never worked at the room, something that was confirmed by my other colleagues and unfortunatelly the Hotel team was not able to help me. It seems like they thought I had a problem with my system even though I explained that it worked at the looby but not in my room and the WiFi only connected to the main Hotel website. That use to happen when Hotels simply get so big and crowded that you you loose the personalized treatment, that's what I prefer and look for.
It is an option to come back, even though I have a better option very close to that (look at my other reviews).

We spend a few days at this beautiful hotel. Had a room in the tower on the 15th floor. From the bed we could see the ocean. The only problem with the room that there is no way to get privacy from each other even when using the restroom. There are sliding glass windows on the bathroom wall so even from the shower or tub one can see the ocean. The toilet is only separated with a glass door from the bath. The bathroom area is very user unfriendly, the towel rack is under the sink, lots of sharp corners, when showering the entire bath area gets covered with water. While it looks gorgeous and indeed you can look at the ocean while showering it is uncomfortable, slippery and again no privacy. Can't even brush teeth without waking up the other person if sharing the room. Other than this issue, the hotel looks fantastic, the pools are clean, the sandy beach is only a few feet from the back door of the hotel. The gym is well equipped but rather small. The sand is clean and smooth, the ocean was surprisingly warm. The employees were polite and always smiling. It is a busy hotel, but does not seems to be crowded. There is public transportation in front of the hotel runs the bus S, or 120. About 10 minutes walk South there is a Walgreens store over the bridge on the left. Also about 3 miles South there is a very nice and popular shopping mall Lincoln Mall with lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel's area is beautiful and it was safe to walk on the streets even at night.

I stayed at this hotel for my family reunion and this is one the worst hotels I've ever stayed in...with the exception of the food in the bar. We arrived and were shocked when we walked into our hotel room that still seemed to be "under construction"?????? We requested another room on the other side of the hotel and we were told that we would have to stay in a room with one king bed...Thank God I was bunking with my mother!!!!!!! We were forced to pay the upgrade price after they failed to provide a us with the room we requested when we booked. Many of my family members were disgusted to say the least. We stayed and enjoyed each other. I checked out early and went to another hotel because I was so dissatisfied. Please get it together Eden Roc and take those misleading photos off of your website. This hotel sucks!!! I will never stay here again or recommend this to anyone I know!

Traveled recently for business and stayed at Eden Roc. The lobby was grand, but too noisy from music filling the bar located centrally. Also, I have noticed more frequently that hotels are adding various fragrances to the air system- their's was a fresh vanilla scent, not subtle.

My room was spacious and had a large balcony facing the ocean- very nice.

The bathroom had a floor to ceiling window by the toilet- great for looking out, not so great for those looking in.

Location wise- you are on the beach which is a major plus. However, to leave the hotel for dinner, you will need a cab.

No complaints otherwise- enjoy your stay.

A group of colleagues and I stayed here this past week. The hotel is gorgeous, very luxurious. The outdoor pools and private beach are so inviting. The lobby with its beautiful round bar area with flowing linens make it feel tropical. The food in the outdoor bar/restaurant is delicious and well priced for the area. Aveda products in the rooms. I will do my best to return with the family! The wifi is free in the lobby, but the rate to use it in the rooms is pricy. The concierges, Joyce and James, were helpful and knowledgeable. This is paradise!

This hotel has it all. Beautiful infinity pools, out standing service and the rooms in the newer tower all face the ocean. Rooms are very nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel. I would go back again and again.

Room Tip: Book a room in the new tower

I always stay at this hotel in Miami. Their latest Ocean tower is excellent, suites have floor to ceiling windows and ocean view from the shower. Service is very good most of the time. Beach is quiet and clean and attendants are helpful. Overall highly recommended.
