“Just Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of my conference trip. The accomodation was great, rooms well soundproofed (no sounds from surrounding rooms), comfortable beds, everything was very clean with amazing views over the ocean. The food was very tasty! (I recommend the burger with red-potatoe french fries and pinacoladas, they were to die for!). Beach service was also flawless.
When staying here, do not forget to check out the bar next door at Fountainbleu and also the LIV nightclub, it was a fantastic night out!
I would stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Stayed 4 nights for academic conference. Rooms, view, stunning. Veneer of high service, but multiple, ongoing issues (e.g., registration that didn't successfully transfer from one night to another; package (materials I needed) undelivered to room for 2 days; unapologetic upcharge in room service prices vs what was printed on menu, etc., ) I finally (a first) wrote a complaint while staying there, but they were unable to contact me about it during the next two days I was still in hotel. If I was going for vacation these would not have been such an issue, but to try to work here was more difficult than it needed to be. Would not vote to use this property again.

Eden Roc was a nice place, with a great view. The rooms were luxurious and service friendly. There was construction going on at one of the pools, so it was a little hard to relax while listening to a jack hammer; so moved my relaxation to the beach were you can rent a chair and umbrella for $35 ( I know it's pricey but rent the umbrella too, your skin will thank you!). I would go again, if my company was paying again that is, otherwise I couldn't afford their rooms :) Just be prepared to drop a little "do-ray-me" on your food, I spend $200.00 myself in just 2 days nothing is included.

Enjoyed our stay at the Eden Roc, although it rained the entire time so I can't comment on the beach or pools. We stayed on the penthouse level in the old tower and were fortunate to get a room with a balcony and fairly good view of the ocean (1503). The bathroom in this room is gigantic, but ironically doesn't have a tub. The lobby bar was great for a relaxed drink later in the evening albeit a little expensive, but I'm sure it's in line with Miami Beach prices. The Eden Roc must be working on its service because we found the front desk staff to be wonderful, despite some earlier negative reviews.

I spent 4 nights at the Eden Roc at a conference recently and my stay was a pleasure. The property is in Mid Beach, a short taxi ride away South Beach. It has the benefit, though, of ocean frontage so, in addition to several pool options, the Atlantic is steps away. I stayed in the new tower, which is the way to go. Others in my party stayed in the renovated, historic structure but most rooms there were without balconies and had limited views. All the rooms in the new tower have balconies and ocean views--worth any additional cost. (Marriott upgraded me gratis due to my membership in their rewards program.)

There are two restaurants, one upscale and one outdoors overlooking the Atlantic. I only ate at the outdoor one but the food was fine.

Over all, the scene is a quiet one at the Eden Roc--in distinction to many of the other hotels, including Fountainbleu next door (which was home to a club and a large late night crowd at the lobby bar). Frankly, I prefered the more sedate scene for where I was staying. The louder nightlife is close by if you want that.

My room was very modern and spare, with an open shower/jacuzzi into the bedroom. It was very quiet (although the hotel was at capacity) and comfortable. Staff was fine and the front desk people were quick and helpful. I used the hotel before arrival to book limos and they were extremely helpful.

In all, Eden Roc is pleasant and relaxing option for Miami Beach, away from the fray in South Beach.

Room Tip: Stay in the new tower if you want to see and hear the ocean.

I sayed here for 3 days on a company conference. Everything was great, except for the front desk service. The good: genuinely friendly and service-oriented staff (except for front desk), good food from room service - arrived on time and not overly expensive ($15 for a burger with trimmings), good shower and Aveda products, seriously good bed and bed clothes. The bad experience started when, having arranged a late check-out (at a huge $200 cost) the night before, my keycard did not work at 11am. So, back down to the front desk, a long wait in a long line, only to be told by Kate - charmless and unsmiling - that there was no record of a late checkout arrangement. Told me to wait, disappeared for 5 mins, returned, said nothing but re-validated my keycard and slapped it down in front of me before calling her next victim over from the line. That experience soured the whole experience of staying at the hotel for me. I think it's really sad when the hotel states its service ambitions so explicitly: a "Delighted to serve" button on the phone, and all staff have a big "Yes" tag underneath their name tag. My other gripe is that, having charged me a full extra day rate to check out late, housekeeping avoided the room and I had to ask for another towel.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near lifts - they are very noisy

Didnt really know what to expect as this was my first visit to Miami.
From the moment you arrive you know it's going to be a good stay. Nice entrance, and the rooms are massive. Sea view rooms are slightly more expensive but worth it, as you can lay in bed and enjoy the view.
Great food , both in the hotel and the beach bar.
Pool service is very good and the gym has excellent equipment.
I will be going back.
