My friend and I (two english girls in their 20s) LOVED STARLITE!!! we are both well travelled and iv been a holiday rep abroad. Before our holiday the negative reviews of the hotel worried us a little however as soon as we got to the Starlite our worries went out the Window.
Right in the centre of Ocean drive and Overlooking the beach what more could you want for the price??? The room itself was clean, full of light and tv fridge and clean towels! and a dressing table......we were plesently suprised.
Patty the receptionist could not do enough to help us! I lost my phone one night and she spent a whole morning ringing around places helping me find it!

If your young and with your friends and looking to be right in the hub of the partying the starlite is for you!

For our 5 night stay no maid cleaned our room BUT the cost of the hotel is so cheap this didnt bother us!!! your on ocean drive people! book Starlite best deal and risk i have ever taken lol.

Good things:
- Awesome location, no doubt
- Bed ok, tv and microwave ok
- Wifi worked perfectly
Bad things:
- One of the recepcionists (the one who looks drunk and filthy, youll recognize her) was superude. Flirting with guys and not even paying attention to us while we were waiting to check out. The 2 other recepcionists we met were nice tho.
- No place to leave your bags when you dont have a room. Just in the corridor where all people walks by and with no identification (just the drunk rude recepcionist 'taking care' of them').
- Due to location a lot of noise at night. They called to the room phone at 3 o clock for no reason. Heard the couple in the room next to us arguing all night.
- Old room. Filthy. No shampoo. Towels had hair and looked dirty. Room cards didnt work. The elevator its a joke...

Ok hotel to stay 1 or 2 nights due to location. We payed around 60 dollars/night but depending the dates can cost even more than the double... Crazy.

This is not a 4 star hotel but it is a GREAT 2-3 star property and the best affordable option on Ocean Drive and maybe in all of South Beach. I have stayed here several times over the years and always come back. $60-$100 a night on average if you book on Hotels.com or one of those sites. Rooms are well done for the price and are not dirty or disgusting by any means. The cheaper rooms have views of other buildings or dumpsters but your not paying for the view your staying cheap 100 meters from the beach on Ocean Drive. Reliable internet. Looking for cheap in Miami Beach look no more book the Starlite.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! It is VERY VERY VERY dirty!!! The staff is rude and ignorant. The hotel will charge you the TOTAL of your stay at check in. That's right - the total of your entire stay will be charged at check in. Then when you walk in the room and see how dirty it is, they will not let you cancel nor give you a refund because you walked in the room. They must be used to the complaints. Once again DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! You will regret it. I recommend staying in a chain hotel that you're familiar with.
