“Beachfront Family Fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2009

We were 2 families traveling together. One family had a 2-bdrm and the other a 1-bdrm. The pictures on the website are accurate. This hotel was perfect for families. The beach is wonderful and the pool was great. The best is checkin with warm cookies for everyone. Very nice touch after a full day of travel. Check in staff was very helpful and pleasant. When we walked into the room the radio was on playing Christmas music which, again, made it feel warm and welcoming! Bathrooms in both rooms were large and luxurious. Our views of the ocean were stunning and our balconies were large in both rooms. The 2-bdrm had a wrap around balcony which took your breath away from the view. The location is a quick cab ride to Aventura Mall and there are other stores around within walking distance, ie Walgrens. We ate dinner and breakfast here and found the pricing to be average and the food good. Overall anyone choosing to stay here couldn't help but have a great time! Thanks to all staff for starting our Christmas Holiday off to a memorable start.

My wife and I stayed there fo a 3 day weekend for our 20th anniversary. Sunny Isles Beach, was a quiet, nice and safe town to stay in. The hotel was amazing with it's location and private beach. The suite was amazing with an increible view of the ocean. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The full kitchen was an added bonus as well. The bed was also VERY comfortable. The housekeeping staff was attentative and took care of all of our needs. Our own washer and dryer was also helpful. Food was great and bartenders were friendly and accomodating. I had only a few issues. Valet parking is mandatory and no other parking option was available. At $26 a day and working for tips, the valets had no urgency to get your vehicle when needed and were slow to move traffic along to drop your car off. I expected better. Service in the restuarant was not the friendliest and pretty slow. However, the older woman in the Market Cafe was outstanding and the service there was great. Overall a great weekend get away.

I noted that you were here on buisiness and hope you had a chance to sample some of our South Florida recreation before heading home. Starting in February, we are replacing all of the living area furniture in our suites and that will include adding a work desk and lighting. We are also reminding our housekeeping staff to keep an eye open for missing in room information (internet service instructions) so all guests are fully informed of the proper proceedures. Again, thanks for your comments. Barry

What a fab place to stay. I recently attended a wedding in Miami and booked this hotel on the reviews from trip advisor - thank you all who recommended this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. When we arrived we received a free upgrade to a two bedroom suite - it was enormous and could accommodate six people. Walking out onto the balcony and having a coffee made in your own kitchen was a little bit of heaven/ the views are perfect. I would recommend this hotel and if I return to Miami I will be booking in again. The hotel is also great value.

Stayed here Mon - Fri. Overall the hotel was very nice... rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. The room that I had was an enormous suite which was more like a 1 bedroom apartment. It was nice but was not geared for the business traveler as there was no work area/desk with a comfortable chair. There was a table in the kitchen area with dining chairs but not comfortable enough to sit and work from for extended periods of time. I am a HHonors Diamond member so breakfast was fee and the service in the restaurant and room service was prompt and professional. After reading other reviews, the parking is a major annoynance when on business when coming and going frequently as it is valet only and now is $26.00 per day. The valet personnel were very good but it is apparent that they would like a tip for retrieving your car. Which is totally ok and I do tip the valet people but I cannot do it 3 or 4 times per day. It is very awkward and the hotel should consider opening the enormous parking garage to guests who would like to self park.
The only other annoyance was the internet service. There is no instructions in the room. Upon calling the front desk they advised me that it is now free but you need a code. What they didnt say is that you need a code each and everytime you log on... so if you go to a meeting and come back and reconnect your machine... you need a new code and you must call the front desk.

All staff members were pleasant, eager to help and very professional. Over all a very nice property. Would go back for vacation but probably not for extended business stay.

EXPERIENCE THE WONDERFUL... DAISY FRESH! PILLOWS , LINEN and TOWELS that only 'SWEET DREAMS' could be made of, as you drift away on downy soft beds where no comfort has been spared and you awake feeling completely refreshed!
Where else could you find this SPECTACULAR Wrap around Balcony that gives a vista of Sunny Isles Beach and to the North and Collins Avenue, from an enormous Deluxe King Size 2 Bedroom Suite , plasma TV where the Star Studded King Size bathroom, separate shower and tub is beyond all proportion, with a second bedroom and private bathroom
that is not much smaller.
Waking early at 5.30a.m. before sun-up catch a glimpse of a pristine streamlined beach where a multitude of devoted workers steer vehicles across the beach which clear away any debris that the sea may have left from the night before.
Enjoy a Buffet or Continental Breakfast that is served at your leisure and meals from a wide variety can be served on a patio terrace that overlooks the beach
A Beach Bar and store with a Famous Coffee outlet are there for your convenience.
The friendly staff that are always on hand to ensure your comfort.
Centrally situated take a leisurely stroll along Collins Avenue to find malls shops and pharmacies that operate 24/7
We just loved Ocean Point and would not hesitate to return.
Regards.
MG

I stayed at the Doubletree Ocean Point for the Saints game. It was an excellent hotel. It's location is good proximity to everything. It is convenient to the stadium which in the northern part of town. South beach is a quick drive. The rooms are well-appointed. Having a washer and driver and kitchen is nice, although I was only there for 3 days and did not get to use them to the fullest. The pool temperature was perfect. I have no complaints. The hotel staff was always friendly and I had no problems at check-in or check-out. Did not care for the pancakes at breakfast.

Dear Saints Fan,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experiences at the hotel. We do value your input and did note that, of all things, you did not care for our pancakes. I will bring this up to the Chef, but if there was something specific you did not like, please let us know. We will change it by the time of your next visit.

We came here to relax in this early November and this was the perfect setting.
Great location on the beach
Our Suite was extremely spacious with a kitchen and a beautiful view both on the ocean and the City.
