My friend, Michael and I stayed here for 5 days over the Holiday week-end. I had come down from NYC to attend my friend's wedding. I have stayed here several times before. The people who work here are well trained and always amenable to help you with whatever. No attitude problems. The service is impeccable and you feel really spoiled and pampered. The food is delicious and the atmosphere fun and "with it" without being too trendy, like the Delano. The pool area is beautiful, and people are always available to cater to your every whim. The beach is steps away, where you may plop on a chaise or under an umbrella if you so choose. I truly enjoyed my stay and would not consider staying at any other hotel. Mr. Balazs is a top top hotel owner, who knows what guests are looking for when they book a stay in one of his hotels.

“Loved It!”

We stayed at the Raleigh for a long weekend. We found the staff to be quite helpful and nice. I do say make sure you get a room with a king bed - the rooms are small, but you are staying a 1940's hotel. The Keihl's bath products are wonderful. I still wear my free slippers.

The crowd is hip and cool. Loved the couches on the beach and around the hotel. Learned to play chess in the bar area and we just had a fantastic time.

My husband and I stayed at the Raleigh for less than 12 hours, from 4pm to 11:30 am on Dec 11. We were coming back from Key West on Sunday and plane was leaving on Monday. It was a great choice as far as being entertained for that period of time. Great location, within walking distance of pretty much everything. Right on the boardwalk - we love to walk, and run - it's perfect for that.

However, our air conditioner was unbelieveably noisy. (room 510) We discovered this when we came back to our room around 10:30 pm. We could barely listen to our TV (nice LCD flat panel) without turning up the volume very loud when the A/C cycled on. Had a rattling sound, besides just the air whoosing through loudly. It was too late to hassle with the front desk at that point. I know it's an old hotel, but still, it really ruined our room experience. Mentioned this to the hotel clerk the next day and he was very sympathetic.

Love the location, room was fine and sparkling clean, the bar and pool are so beautiful. Since we didn't stay there very long, I don't have many other comments.

“Still Great Style after Hurricane Wilma”

Stayed at The Raleigh a few days after hurricane Wilma. We had Room 704 which despite being described as City View, looked on to an adjacent hotel. The room was large, well furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed the Sunday soiree which as a hotel guest is free and is a magnate for the rich beautiful young things of Miami. The pool area is fabulous and one afternoon became the venue to launch a new car, next day a photoshoot for swimwear. Close to everything, and well worth the prices when compared to hotels close by.

You will never want to leave the hotel grounds. The live DJ by the pool on Sunday is a nice touch. The staff is accommodating and gracious. Rooms are cozy and well stocked with amenities. My only complaint is that the drinks by the pool were watered down. I love the Safari-esque décor and old celebrity photos lining the walls. I would highly recommend staying at the Raleigh if you are looking for a fun & hip scene.
