Stayed at The Raleigh a few days after hurricane Wilma. We had Room 704 which despite being described as City View, looked on to an adjacent hotel. The room was large, well furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed the Sunday soiree which as a hotel guest is free and is a magnate for the rich beautiful young things of Miami. The pool area is fabulous and one afternoon became the venue to launch a new car, next day a photoshoot for swimwear. Close to everything, and well worth the prices when compared to hotels close by.

You will never want to leave the hotel grounds. The live DJ by the pool on Sunday is a nice touch. The staff is accommodating and gracious. Rooms are cozy and well stocked with amenities. My only complaint is that the drinks by the pool were watered down. I love the Safari-esque décor and old celebrity photos lining the walls. I would highly recommend staying at the Raleigh if you are looking for a fun & hip scene.

I stayed at the Raleigh for 4 nights--I stayed in a King with an ocean view. the best thing about the hotel is the pool-great place to lounge and relax..the rest of the hotel is overrated and worth about 3 stars--the rooms are very small --there is no desk just a useless table which is hard to work on-the rest of the room is furnishsed like a fancy motel--bathroom is very small-nice shower. Service is flaky--they are really not warm and seem to think that they are in a fashion show modelling themselves--they are not very good with any type of reccomendatons and messed up my bill when leaving-I was not very impressed. The last day there was a group of 15 girls drinking and partying-smoking and driking in the pool-seemed like sprin break-noone said anything to them-they were blasting their own radion-they finally told them something when I found a broken glass in the pool-personally did not like South beach-would not go back and not reccomend this hotel

I was alone and needed somewhere where i could relax and feel i was on vacation. I stayed for six nights from Tuesday to Monday. The hotel was 80% full until the weekend when it filled up completely mainly with people fron NY.
The hotel exudes class and sophistication and it attracts this kind of person.
The pool and the pool area are superb. At all times there was a more than adequate choice of seating and towels, and constant food and bar service.
Found all of the key staff to be very friendly and helpfull.......the food and cocktails are very good and expertly prepared.
Found both the room and houskeeping to be excellent......one has to accept that you are staying in a restored 1940s built hotel. Did not however find the rooms noisy or cramped.
This hotel is an oassis of calm amongst the madness of the south beach scene.

Flew into Miami from England just as Hurricane Dennis was hitting Key West and it was being evacuated. Decided to stay in South Beach for 2 nights till our destinatiion resort was reopened and so booked into The Raleigh after recommendations on Trip Advisor. Was very pleased overall . Great location within easy walking distance of Ocean Drive and all the nightlife . We got a 6th floor room facing Collins Avenue with an interconnecting room for our 2 kids. Was generally quiet except for 'banging' doors late at night and people walking and talking loudly in the corridors at 3am !!! Very comfortable if smallish rooms with great flat TV screen and hi-fi. Kiehls toiletries in the bathroom . Nice touch ! . Great decor in the Hotel and fabulous pool leading to private beach. Very helpful and polite staff who helped us to get info on the Interent about our resort in Key West because we couldnt get through on the telephone.
