“Fun Trip By The Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

The hotel was great - right on the beach and with a number of beautiful pools. Our room was beautiful, Alex Coppola our front desk agent went out of his way to help us find a king size room that would suit us, difficult when most of the rooms were booked up for a movie premier. He really went out of his way. The rooms were cleaned and they replaced our mini fridge when ours didn't work. We ate at Scarpetta which was tasty but a little overpriced. The one issue was that everything food and drink related seemed particularly extravagant but that could just be Miami Beach. We'd definitely come back for another relaxing beach vacation.

Room Tip: I would try and stay in the two towers and away from the night club since that area can get a little...

We arrived in Miami Beach, and the weather could not have been better. We couldn't wait to get out in the sun! We checked in in minutes, up to our beautiful room, then straight to the beach. We were escourted to our lounge chairs for the day. The water was amazingly bleau!!! We were then greeted by our server for the day, Pablo Castro. He made some amazing drink and food suggestions, which we gladly took. Nice on vacation not having to make any decisions! And from that moment on, he took care of everything. We never had to ask again! What a day! Then we had dinner at Hakkasan, which was superb!! The next night at Scarpetta, even better!!! And everyday back to the beach, where we were always greeted by Pablo's big warm smile. Cannot wait til next years trip!!

Room Tip: anything looking at the beautiful blue sea!! a little more money but worth it!

Stayed at Fountain for the weekend of March 15th. Driving up to the hotel was something out of a movie...Everything was top notch including the view over looking the pool (This was all before even stepping foot inside!). Once I got to the front desk, I was greeted by a very sweet hostess, Ligia. We ended up chatting for almost 20 mins but it felt like a 5 min convo. Truthfully, that was one of the many highlights of my trip. Not only did she make me feel right at home but she went out of her way to give us an awesome view and excellent location in the Torrentino towers. I would have never expected that type of hospitality in any hotel especially being from NYC. Im glad Ligia proved me wrong. Apart from that, the atmosphere, mood and crowd was awesome. It is literally something out of a James Bond movie with all the touches of luxury that can never go unnoticed. Will def be coming back sometime soon and already know who to contact to help me plan for my stay at this hotel :) It's a great feeling knowing that Ligia's professionalism has led me to officially call this hotel my 2nd home!

Beautifully restored, a piece of history. Everything you want and need in one spot. Excellent restaurants, entertainment, Clubs, shopping and the grounds are well maintained. The beaches are beautiful and the walking/ jogging trail is great. The Spa is amazing, make sure to go take in any of the Spa services while there. Don't miss the steam room and rain bath. I stayed on the 17th floor overlooking the ocean. It was heaven. The rooms are first class plus. It's pricey, but worth every penney if you have it to blow.

Room Tip: Anything high up facing the ocean.

Had a wonderful day stay at the Fountainebleau. Such a beautiful hotel with the most amazing grounds and pools. The valet staff were very professional and everyone we talked to were very helpful. We had a cabana at the main pool and Jay (Asst pool manager) was prompt and assisted our every need. Kimberly was our waitress and she was always checking to see if we needed anything. Our grandkids loved the "kids" zero entry pool which has a great twirly slide and a mushroom waterfall. That evening we had dinner at Michael Minas 74 on property. Had a lovely dinner including a selection of appetizers that were outstanding and different from anything we had had before. My husband had the filet which was cooked to perfection and I had the Pompano fish which was sautéed to a nice crunch and flaky inside. Recommend the Pims cocktail for a little something different. Excellent.meal. Everything at the Fountainebleau was wonderful.

Me & a few friends stayed here just over 3 weeks ago.. and it was probably the best & the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel was clean and had everything you could imagine so you really didn't have to leave if you didn't want too, but was also right in the middle and within walking distance to so many other activities. The pools were amazing and the beach was so close, so many pools to choose from so you didn't feel so crowded. The rooms were nice and clean and more than comfortable. Vida had the best service and food for brunch & lunch and amazing staff especially Jaime! The staff at Fontainebleau were more than accommodating the manager Andy was so polite and met to our every needs. We had such an amazing time at the hotel that within 24 hours of being back we booked another flight back, & would never want to stay anywhere else! Amazing & well worth it!

I stayed here for five nights with my wife on our holiday to Miami in December 2013, and had a very enjoyable stay.

First things first, the hotel complex is absolutely massive. There are various different towers, a couple of pools, beach access, various restaurants, fitness center, clubs, etc. In short: there is always a lot going on here.

1) Rooms
Our room was unfortunately not ocean-view, as there were none available. Nevertheless, the room was spacious and modern, with a lovely bathroom and shower, and a comfortable bed with pillow selection. The rooms were always cleaned well and there was really nothing to complain about. The iMac and wifi worked well also.

2) The Pool/Beach
The pool area was well-maintained, and staff were always on hand to provide information and assist with any requirements, including for food and drinks. Towels were immediately provided, and loungers organized for us.

Our visit to the beach heralded the same results. We were immediately provided with towels and given the option of simple loungers, or a more luxurious canopy. Food and drinks were provided, and of a high standard.

3) Hakkasan
We came here for my birthday dinner, and were very happy with both the service and the quality of the meal. Having visited Hakkasan and HKK in London previously, I was glad to see that this outlet of the brand represented a fair image of the quality and service expected by its patrons. Staff were helpful and eager to give advice on the menu and accompanying beverages and condiments.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only real negatives I would point out are the extortionate parking fees, and the sometimes slow elevators. I would definitely stay here again, but would point out that the hotel is mainly targeted towards a younger audience (21-40), with poolside DJs, and a lot of nightlife in and around the establishment. Otherwise, perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of SoBe, and a short cab ride from the main attractions in Miami.

Room Tip: Get an oceanview room high up - it's definitely worth it!
