“Spectacular views, lovely grounds. Great food Esp the yogurt parfaits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Just got back from a conference. Excellent grounds and pool. Loud house music during ULTA weekend unfortunately but endurable.

One thing I'd love to know...is what type of yogurt do they use in their parfaits? They're amazing! (Management, if you reading....feel free to share)

Food is expensive and drinks are DEFINATELY overpriced but the quality is excellent. The pool side Resturant was wonderful and their steak wrap was delicious.

I would stay here again.

We had a great stay recently. Check in with Alfredo was very efficient and his service was excellent. Our room was all about the great view and the bathroom was modern and luxurious. The rest of the room decor was good but not exceptional. The hotel staff service was outstanding, everyone greeted us with a smile and welcoming attitude/hello. Lunch at LaCote was just about perfect and much of this was attributable to Edgy our waiter. He pointed out the best choices on the menu and was friendly yet professional. We liked the feeling of security at the resort as there were security personnel manning the access from beach and pool at multiple locations. The Blue Bar was a great place for a drink after dinner - very unique bar, great energy/vibe. Only negative was the very high prices for food/drink. Scarpetta was top notch for Italian food.

Stayed here a few years before the renovation and was happy to see they did a fine job on the renovation. Hotel is a good value though you get nickeled and dimed a bit. Staff was excellent and exceptional at times. Kelly who checked us in and gave a free upgrade to an ocean view room from a city view room along with Matt the waiter we had in there Gotham steak house and Martinique at the pool to name a few. Hotel is a great way to enjoy Miami outside of south beach.

Room Tip: Go for an ocean view on a high floor away from the elevators.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in early Feb 2013. We were unfortunate in that the week we chose was when the International Boat Show and the Art Show were in town. The hotel is situated opposite the quays where most of the boats were moored. It was very busy and difficult to book restaurant tables for dinner. We did not appreciate how far it was from Ocean Drive. We enjoy walking but it is an hour and a quarters walk to all the main shops and restaurants. There are no restaurants close by the hotel so you either get a taxi at night or eat in.In addition the Hotel hosts a continuous stream of Company conferences which just add to the numbers. At times the staff struggled to cope and we had to queue for a number of services including breakfast.Beware the quoted prices, once tax and service is added(no Choice) it is expensive particulary the wine!

Room Tip: Beachside rooms are quieter as the hotel is on a main road. Great views from the higher floors of th...

We spoiled ourselves by staying at this reknown hotel. It is a beautiful place with lots of amenities. It is slightly north of South Beach (10-15 minutes) which makes it a lot more peaceful at night. The service was unbelievable! The staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Took full advantage of the gym. Great restaurants (but pricey, don't be fooled). Loved the jaccuzzi, plenty of sun chairs, sofa and umbrellas. Loved the whole experience!

Room Tip: We actually rented a condo from a private owner instead of getting a room at the hotel. We paid half...

I stayed at this hotel years ago, it was beautiful then, and now renovated it is spectacular! Living in Fort Lauderdale, I enjoy the wonderful weather all year, but, the layout of this hotel enhances every good aspect of South Florida. The service was first class. Every staff member went out of thier way to be pleasant and helpful. We asked to change rooms for a better view of the pool area and were accomadated happily. The room was very large and very clean. We slept great on the comfortable bed. I am not a pollyanna... but, I swear every restaurant was great!! The "Dim sum" at Hakkasan was unbelievable. We got a "lunch" picnic made for us and even that was great! (I even saw a few celebrities). Sadly we had a funeral on the day of check out and "Ishmal" saw us waiting for our at the valet and he came over and personally helped us in our hurry. We cannot wait to go back!!

Room Tip: We liked the Sorrento building, over looking the pool and ocean!
