“Five Star Service at the Front Desk - Sholom Neisten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

My colleague and I checked in early and received amazing service from Sholom Neisten at the front desk. We had to share a room to cut costs for our company so we were a bit particular about the type of room we were assigned. Sholom found us the exact room we were looking for, basically giving us an upgrade to an ocean view with a balcony, and even let us check in early. He really went above and beyond!!!!! My colleague and I are extremely pleased.

I celebrated my birthday on January 5th at this beautiful hotel. I do live in Miami, but I wanted to spend it at the beach with friends. I never thought spending a few days at a hotel in Miami where I currently live, can make you feel like you're really on vacation. From the room, to the pool, and hotel staff were exceptional. Juliana Galardi and Anna Hoyos who helped me through this process to make it happen; were such great people to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, (Even if you live in Miami and want to get-away for a few days).

We stayed at the Fontainebleau from 1/1-1/4. From the minute we checked in to the minute we left, we were shown how a first-class hotel that truly cares about its guests operates. Sholom couldn't have been more accommodating and welcoming, and went above and beyond our expectations to find us a room that perfectly suited our needs. Our room had a spectacular view, an iMac to use during our stay, and the bathroom was large and spotless (to the delight of my wife). The family-sized whirlpool tub made bath time for the kids fun, and they loved the kids' center, where Max led them through two days of adventures. The concierge team helped us plan a fun outing one afternoon, and the poolside restaurant service was warm and attentive. So many upscale hotels are hiring wannabe models as servers, so all you get is a bunch of eye candy and aloof, spotty service. Almost very server we encountered was professional and attentive, with the one exception being our breakfast server at Vida one morning. The waiter did not seem to understand our order and kept forgetting things. That was the only inconsistency in a fantastic three-day stay, as the rest of our experience was stellar.
We took advantage of both the beach and many pools. They have an adults-only pool area, cabañas for rent, and lots of chaise lounges at each pool. The children were delighted to have so many different pools to swim in, and we loved the warm-cool-cooler pool temperatures...and we mention the kids' waterslide? They definitely know how to make everyone happy!
We were assisted by Candace at check out, who was also very professional and helpful. We can't wait until our next trip to the Fontainebleau!

Room Tip: Try to get a top floor with a combined city-beach view.

The last time I stayed at the Fontainebleau was in 1986. I have to say that the hotel (fortunately) has changed since then,,,! We (family with 3 children) stayed here for 4 nights in December 2012, in a family suite in the Tresor Tower. A very large suite (with an Imac at disposal) with a similarly large separate bedroom, a fully functional kitchen, large bathroom and a nice balcony with a southbound view of the beach and Collins Avenue.

This giant hotel (1600 rooms) just has everything. From the largest (and best) pool area at Miami Beach (with several poolside bars) to great (but pricy) restaurants. Service is good everywhere from check in to the staff at the pools and the beach and to checkout.

The location is OK, if you want to get just a bit away from the buzz of South Beach, whic can be reached by cab in 10 minutes.

All in all - A pricy but close to perfect hotel for familys.

We have been staying at quite some of the sobe hotels over the past yrs, we love sobe. So this was our first time in a 'resort', we usually prefer Delano etc. we were looking for fun over a weekend- and we got it all. This is more a Vegas style resort on the lovely beach. The suite was great, ocean and ocean drive view, therapeutic! Hotel service met highest standards which as amazing given the size lf this place (note to management: great job!). From valet to room service, this was awesome. We tried the lobby bar, night club (a must!), steak restaurant (v good food), sushi.... Nothing to regret. Great entertainment! If you don't like pretentious style and wannabe cannot handle silicone and wannabe gangb@ngers, you better go elsewhere. (Forget about the price tag- good value for money!).

We were in Miami for the BCS National Championship game and stayed at the Fontainebleau, in the Chateau tower, for a little over a week. The hotel and grounds are wonderful. The staff, from the front desk to the pool, where extremely kind and accommodating. The rooms are well appointed. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The pool area is nice, although you want to make sure you get down there early in the morning to reserve your chairs, as the place does tend to get crowded later. At night, the lobby bar is a nice place to have a drink and meet others or just chill. My only complaint about this hotel would be the in room dining. We were tired and decided to order in one night during our stay. The food was terrible and the server had to go back downstairs twice to get items that she forgot. Other than that, we will definitely be returning to the Fontainebleau next time we go to Miami. In the end, our team won the BCS National Championship and we left there with memories that we will never forget. ROLL TIDE!!
