“Short stay for Business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Stayed only one night for a business meeting. Very trendy hotel with international crowd. Apple computer in room. Shower was wonderful. Food was very good. Everything expensive. Right on ocean with beautiful view. Ten pools with full service.

Stayed here while Hurricane Sandy passed to the east. Was there on a business conference, so between the weather and meetings, really didn't have a chance to use the pool area, so I can't really comment on that. The beach is only a few steps away... either choice looked very inviting. My room was in the northern tower (Versailles?) where the meeting rooms where. The room was very clean and fresh, with a king size bed and flat screen. And a free Imac in the room for unlimited use!!

Cleaning and other staff were all uniformly nice and willing to help with any need.

I had brought my Verizon Mifi hotspot to avoid the $15 daily cost for wireless. It did not work on property without being reprogrammed, supposedly because there are so many wireless hot spots being used in the convention center area in the Versailles tower. So be prepared.

The spa is excellent, with two areas for hot soaking and two areas for rain style showers. Massage was excellent, and there are often discount coupons or specials to help bring down the very high costs.

All the food I had was well prepared and tasty, but oh so expensive. $15 for a pool panini? Really? Drinks in the lobby bar were also pretty steep. The only hotel I ever paid more for a glass of house merlot was the Wynn in Vegas. Valet parking was steep, and there was a $24 fee for a beach chair on the ocean beach. Cabanas at the pool were some of the steepest fees I can recall ever seeing. And be really careful around the weight sensitive snack tray in your room....

This is a nice hotel... but the only reason I gave it four dots is because they price their product at Bellagio type prices, but its not nearly of that kind of quality... its just because of the location.

This hotel went out of their way to make our stay amazing. We left the Perry South Beach due to horrible construction all over the hotel and came to the Fontainbleau. They were so nice and upgraded our room right away to a Jr. Suite with an ocean view. We were able to check in at noon and didn't have to wait until 4pm. The entire time we were there they so friendly and made everything wonderful. I can't wait to go back and stay longer.

I had an exceptional experience at this hotel! Hotel staffers Ezra (Front Desk Supervisor) & Leon (Housekeeping) were fabulous! During the conference and my down time was well spent in the hotel. I plan to visit again soon for a family vacation! Thank you!

Myself and my husband spent 3 nights in the Fontainebleau hotel at the beginning of our honeymoon. I work in the travel industry and am really fussy when it comes to hotel stays but I really cannot fault this hotel. In my opinion that have got IT right. We had a beautiful room with balcony over looking the pool and views of the ocean. The staff really make this place, they could not do enough to accommodate our stay and really make it a trip of a life time. The chocolate dipped strawberries were such a nice surprise in our room.
The hotel oozes trendiness and its definitely a place to celeb spot!!! I cannot wait to return to The Fontainebleau.

The hotel has great services and impecable facilities! Beautiful pools, a great gym and perfect food (special compliment to the Solo Cafe)! Just be ready to pay... The hotel charges a "resort fee" of US$ 19/ day + parking of nearly US$ 35/day + beach umbrellas. Internet access is already included in the amount paid as resort fee, though (which is good) and each room has an Apple Desktop available. All and all, a great luxury hotel with wonderful facilities, but a bit too expensive!
