The Fontainebleau is my choice for the best beachfront hotel in Florida. Great rooms, fabulous pool and amazing nightlife.

Room Tip: book early

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Fontainebleau Hotel during a medical convention and have been fortunate enough to stay at many luxury hotels and have to put this one on top. Without question it is the most amazing experience. From checking in, to the family style pool that will lead you to the adult only pool without interfering with one another. Service was with a genuine smile, warm and professional. The bar at night was over the top. Probably some of the best restaurants in the world, not just beautiful but delicious food as well, just downstairs from your comfortable and fully stocked room. I can't wait to go back and stay. The service is what differentiates this place from all others. UNBELIEVEABLE!

I literally just got back from this hotel and the least I can do is pay back all the reviews that I've taken into consideration from all of you people and have helped me make decisions in the past.
This hotel is nice and thankfully I was there on a conference.
This statement should say it all ... THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT I WOULD PAY FROM MY OWN POCKET TO STAY HERE!!
Not quite sure what constitutes price gouging but someone needs to inspect this place. Here are some prices .... a drink is about $13, I had a Bloody Mary ... $19 (for one), suntan lotion ...$20, lunch cost me $45. To go to the gym you need to pay $20 and if you need to use the shower afterwards, you need to pay to use that as well.
I liked the hotel, really, but if you're paying ALL that money to stay there, they should kinda "ease off" on the price gouging.
I actually bought several bottles of alcohol off the hotel premises at a liquor store, brought em down by the pool and bought the mixes (orange juice, soda, etc.) BUT, even a pitcher of soday cost me $28 (I have receipts for all of this!). It's unbelievable and really disappointing that ppl pay this - and I'm from NYC. WAY OVERRATED!!
Shame on you Fountainebleau - you're not that hot of a hotel to be over charging like this.

The hotel's restaurant FRESH has amazing workers. They are always aware of your needs. Always checking up on you to see if your doing okay. Overall the Chef Pedro Lopez is great at attending his clients. Makes sure your satisfied with your order. Everything gets done to your exact specifications.

My stay the Fountain Bleu was amazing. The staff, were so nice and refreshing. Especially Tatiana she was always smiling and related all the information perfectly. The hotel was so pretty I loved our view from our room. That weekend I will always remember because I got engaged! We loved every part of it. I will deffinitly go back.

I stayed for 3 nights as part of a conference. I'm glad I wasn't picking up the tab for this trip! I have stayed at many five-star resorts around the world and FB doesn't compare. I'm surprised at the very positive reviews of this resort - for the money, it simply doesn't stack up. The details:

Rooms - the standard rooms are very small (roughly 300 square feet). While well appointed, there is no coffee maker, no glasses in the bathroom for your toothbrush, mini bar prices are outrageous.

Restaurants - there are a number of bars & restaurants on premise. All are VERY expensive with small portions. Top it all off with a 19% automatic service charge on everything. I think when you flush the toilet they tack on a 19% service charge.

Grounds are OK - this is a big resort / conference center that is easy to get lost in. The pool area is pretty cool, but there are guards at every entrance (why, I don't know).

Save your money and go somewhere else...

Room Tip: don't stay here!

Service at this Hotel was the best! Great selection of retailers here for your shopping needs. The people are so nice and the rooms are wonderful. The best part is that you never have to leave the hotel, everything you require is all here.
