“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Circa 39 in Miami. The beach was across the street and the sand & water was excellent...was able to use the chairs and umbrellas. The boardwalk was amazing. Hotel was clean, bed was comfy and the staff were excellent and very friendly. I would recommend this place.

We enjoyed 3 nights stay in this property to see patriots vs dolphins. . Clean, modern, although small rooms. Excellent bathroom. 1 block from beach. The offer parking for $24 a day, but you can park overnight on street for free and then use meters after 8 am.

We paid $140 night by booking early. It was a non refundable rate. The rack rate of $190 seems high but miami is expensive

Located in the north end of miami beach. (Ie quiet residential area). Super easy to find and access from airports and you can drive or bus to south beach in five minutes if you want to see the scene.

Has a pool and $10 buffet on property. There is a deli and liquor store next door and a great jewish deli for breakfast or lunch a few blocks away on 41 st

Room Tip: I liked rm 224. Used back stairs to access car on 39 st

We could not find accomodations on south beach. And for the first time discovered north beach and circa 39. What a cool find, Small pool, but active. A couple of really good restaurants. Two blocks walk to the beach. A little calmer than the south beach area. Which is really nice. And a short drive away to the action - which is also nice. Parking is easy. The rooms are modern and updated, very cool and chic. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Thanks

Room Tip: Facing the pool, away from the elevator - else it can get a little noisy at times

Small hotel in South Beach. Clean and comfortable. Under renovation but still a great place to stay. No carpeting in the rooms can get noisy if your upstairs neighbor is not considerate. The Bar tender Jorge makes you feel like family.

We couldn't fault our stay. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Our room didn't have a view but this didnt distract from the stay. I would suggest they change the handles on the drawers as I caught my clothes on them when passing. The breakfast was a bonus and set us up for the day. Beach only 2 mins walk away with free sunchair and hotel beach towels. The main shops and South Beach life is quite a walk away but very pleasant along the boardwalk. Frequent buses for the trip back with a standard $2 fare, bus drivers do not change money so make sure you have the correct fare. The bus takes you all the way to Aventura Mall which has all the main shops. The bar and restaurant in the hotel are small but very accommodating, the Spinach soup is grand. Overall a great place to stay.

We stayed for a quick 2 nights while passing through Miami. Our room was on ground level at the back, and literally had just been renovated. We were the first ones to stay in the room since it was finished. So it was really really nice, but there were some teething problems (nothing too bad!)

Arriving in the room, still had the smell of fresh paint.
We didnt have any full sized towels (but that was an easy fix)
Our door didnt have the 'peep hole' installed, and was just an empty hole. I covered it with a bandaid.
After house keeping the first day, they forgot our towels again. I couldnt be bothered asking and just dried with a hand towel haha.

The hotel itself is in a quiet location. This means in not close to the main shops and restaurants etc. I hear its an easy bus ride down there, but we didnt do that. We found dinner at another larger hotel about 3-4 blocks away.

You have Dollar Rentals across the road for car hire, this is a cheaper option to hire a car for 1 day to get to Sawgrass Mall (Recommend) or Dolphin Outlets. You can hit both in one day if your organised.

Beach is close, and the hotel has its own section with towels etc. We didn't use this...

Staff were all friendly and helpful!

We had breakfast there, about $10pp, but its basic... If you dont eat big breakfasts, just go to the cafe next door, its cheap and they are nice also :)

This was my second stay at Circa 39 and once again I was very happy with the quality of my stay at this very nice hotel, which is just 1 block away from the boardwalk and beach.

The first room I was assigned was one of the back rooms whose only view out of the window, was the wall of the adjacent building, so I asked for a room change and reception was very quick to change my room to one with a view.

The staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly. The concierge service was very good - helped make recommendations for places and restaurants to visit.

Great location, even if a bit far from the strip. They have their own car parking lot (for $20/night), plus they are right next to a very nice deli.

They have a nice (if small) swimming pool with a couple of cabanas and more deck chairs.

I look forward staying there on my next visit.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice, but some don't have a good view out of the window, so make sure to ask for a...
