Great place to stay. In the middle of a great tourist area. Reasonable prices and incredible service. Definitely recommended. Very clean, nice bathrooms and an incredible view. My next trip I will definitely be staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view.

The location is amazing. I stayed here with friends the weekend of the art deco festival, which was awesome. The rooms was SOOO small and hard to get ready in. We stayed in 2 double bed room on the second floor. The double beds seemed smaller than a usual double and sucked to share. The ac is super right next to one bed so whoever sleeps there is freezing. While in the other bed you are hot. The blanket was as thin as the sheets. The staff was nice. We ate at the restraunt for breakfast and it was really good. They even gave us discount since we were staying there. Overall it was a good stay. I'd stay there again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

If you're looking for a great spot to be in Miami Beach, this is the place. The Colony Hotel it's located in the heart of Ocean Drive where all things happen. The hotel it self could be better. The elevator poorly works and the walls in the rooms are so thin that you can hear people next door, and the frigid doesn't work very well.

Way better than you could think based on most of the reviews here. Nice to see the most famous icon hotel on South Beach. Yes maybe a bit overpriced but it's one of the best locations if you're into SoBe stuff. Pretty small rooms but everything worked and we saw no critters or any other nasty things.

Very well situated with proximity to beach and restaurants. Our room was small with nowhere to put our suitcases as the small wardrobe area had no light. Bathroom very small with no shelf space or anywhere to put soap, shampoo etc while in shower. However, plentiful hot water with good pressure and good toiletries supplied.
TV didn't work properly but we didn't come here to watch TV. Expect plenty of noise as this is a vibrant area with plenty going on all day and night. Staff were helpful but not overly cheerful which sort of put a dour feeling about the hotel.
Would I stay here again? Possibly but I would want a bigger room and a little more polish.

Chalk it up to a learning experience because a hotel room on Ocean Drive over the Christmas holidays will by definition, be overpriced. Our experience at the Colony Hotel started with a $25 charge for two domestic beers at the hotel bar while we waited our turn to check in. The room was small with barely enough room to move around in (we were 4), with a view of a neighbouring building (neighbouring meaning 3 feet away) through a filthy window. The bathroom was a good size although I cannot stand bathrooms where you have nowhwere (shelf or hook) to put your cosmetics bag. On the good side, the room was clean and relatively quiet. In conclusion, next time I'll stay off of Ocean Drive.

One night stay with family on our way to Port of Miami, hotel is located directly on South Beach a two minute walk from beach, five minute walk from shopping on Washington St and a fifteen minute walk to Lincoln Mall. Remember it is on South Beach so don't expect a quite stay it's not extremely loud but it's party central. The staff was nice, food and drinks in lobby and right outside door so if you didn't want to leave you didn't have too but if you did want to venture out you didn't have to go far. If you want local cuisine everything is at your fingertips but if you wanted typical food TGIF is on the corner. They have typical double rooms comfortable but nothing to jump about also suites which are a little more roomy for large groups, clean and updated for the South Beach area. I would stay again if I was passing through.
