For a one night stay on a pretty limited budget I wasn't expecting a lot from the Colony, so was absolutely amazed at the place when we arrived. Clean, good decor and nice sized rooms - a minor issue with lack of lighting in the rooms, but only a small thing.
Read a lot of comments about problems with the lift not working/door not being closed - only had this happen once and one of the guys on reception ran upstairs to close the door so the lift came down - cannot fault the service at all, especially Carlos who recommended some fantastic bars and restaurants.
Valet parking is available at $22 dollars day/overnight, again after some reviews I was a little apprehensive about leaving the car, but no problems - friendly service and really quick drop off the next day.
Fantastic place to stay if you want a great location, decent sleep and are on a budget.

Hotel is in a great location, the center of everything. The staff is great especially Harold and Albert!
The rooms are a little small and travelling 3 girls and sharing 1 tiny washroom was a bit of an issue. 1 small mirror and 1 lamp. So ladies bring a mirror!
The girls who work at the restaurant downstairs can get annoying, they don't remember your face. You can walk by them 3 times in an hour and they'll still try and get you to eat there.
Other then those minor issues we had a great time.

This is a good place to stay, of course if you want to walk around the beach and have fun. The service is tremendous they are very attentive, Carlos the front desk was very courteous and nice. The hotel is nice all over nice building, beautifully decorated rooms, friendly and extremely efficient staff, good location, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, the lobby, the rooms simple but beautiful, everything was extremeley clean. The restaurant was exceptionally good with amazing food and the waiter Ermell was super attentive and friendly with us, great customer service!!!!!!!!!!” We had an amazing time at this hotel, the service was impeccable, the hotel a location was perfect, close enough to the sights to make walking and party enjoyable.

Rooms looked clean and modern on their website, ended up being dirty and old. Bathroom was filthy with yellow and brown spots splattered on the wall, shower and bathroom floor was just as dirty. The window to the bed room was dirty and spotted with old water, blinds had so much dust that it made my hand black when I tried to look out. Cable went out and I had only 1 channel that worked out of 20. When I called the front desk I was told that it was out due to bad weather and the tv at the bar was out. I reminded him that weather was good, it wasn't raining, and could he try resetting the cable box or calling the cable company. The reply was "No, there's nothing I can do for you." Paid seventy some dollars for parking a few days, and occasionally when we needed the car, they took much longer then the ridiculous 20 minute required retrieval time. Beds were obviously old and need changing. Towels had horrible black spots. The hallway door to the rooms slams shut and the front desk allowed an intoxicated person to keep yelling and slamming the door in the hall waking us up between 3-4 am. Good part is that they are right across the street from the beach and location for nightlife is great. This hotel is not worth the price tag. If they were cleaner and the service was better, maybe...

Room Tip: most rooms face the dirty smelly alley, check your towels

This is a disreputable hotel, noisy and very strange for children, but with an excellent location, quite clean and not expensive.
We were just not aware about the profile.

First and obvious at the first moment you stand in front of the hotel - it itself is a Miami attraction, because position, deco look, beach, evening lights and the fact that it is on most Miami pictures tell enough.

Reception area clean and ok. All receptionists very helpful, nice and talkable except for one guy, but he is only a night receptionist anyway, so it is not too important.

Rooms small, but good, cleaned every day. Our cleaning guy had obviously some towell issue, because everyday he forgot to place some new ones in our room. So, i constantly had to run downn form the third floor to get some new ones.

There is also issue with elevators... Doors are terrible and if a person coming out doesn't close them properly (which is the case most the time), elevator is not running. We mainly had to use staircase. Also, elevators service expired on 30/09, and they still didnt get a new cleareance for operation, but are still running it.

Although in the very centre if MB, it is in fact not too loud, man can have a pretty good night rest in it. Close to everything, and i would recomend it to couples, friends and all interested in spending few casual days on Miami Beach.

I went w/ a couple of buddies for my bday weekend and had a blast. This is the perfect location! You wake up to the heart of SoBe everyday and you're free to roam as you please. Harold and Carlos were awesome at the front desk and will do their best to give you whatever insight to be a local or a tourist.

Hotel was just renovated so rooms are clean, comfortable and efficient. Only caution I will state is they have 1 small elevator that is slow so it's easier to take the stairs most of the time. Can't wait to go back!!
