“Stay Here Often.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

I stay at this hotel all the time when in Miami, which is often. It's clean, great staff, safe, within walking distance of the south beach action yet if far enough away to allow one to relax. Right on the ocean, right on the boardwalk, close to other hotels with higher end restaurants and bars. Easy access to the airport and the main highways, again clean and quiet. Overall a great place.

Room Tip: A real deal of a hotel in comparison to the "south beach" location note;s yet within walki...

I stayed here for several days because the hotel at the conference I was attending (Fountainebleu) was booked up. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Rooms are on the small side, particularly for a Marriott Courtyard, but otherwise were fine. Bathrooms and bed were clean. Service and friendliness of the front lobby staff is about average. The free wifi is a plus but the connection is very slow and goes in and out. Location is just steps from a less crowded section of North Miami beach. At $399 per night for a standard room, its about an average value for the area.

There is a Carrabba's in the lobby which was crowded every evening I was there. Also, there is a much more affordable Cuban sandwich place across the street. The employees there are pretty unfriendly, but its a much better value to stock up on your supplies over there, than to pay $2 for a small pepsi at the hotel store.

Its only about a 30 minute taxi ride (about $35) to and from Miami airport.

Stayed here last year with hubby last year in May....if you want peace and quiet and away from the action, this is a place to stay. Don't try to walk from this hotel to South Beach action...its a long walk especially during the day. There is not a lot of restuarant to eat. The buffet breakfast was too expensive and the food served were so...so. You need to take your car to get to a decent restuarant. The rooms are small and the balcony is small as well. We asked for a oceanfront room...couldnt see the ocean just trees and the pool. Overall, its ok to stay here just for peace and quiet and the beach.

I visited this hotel for my first trip to Miami from March 14-18. The hotel is very nice, clean, friendly staff, great pool, and quiet from all the hustle and bustle of South Beach. This hotel is great if you want a quiet vacation. I was a bit disappointed in the distance to Lincoln Road and South Beach. It will take you 30 minutes by foot to walk to 17th Avenue or pay $10 for a cab. Previous reviews said a 20 minute walk which is not true. Other than that, I had a great vacation to Miami.

I stayed here because of it bein close to MT. Sanai Hospital. It was reasonably priced considering it was oceanfront and in Miami Beach. It's a little distance from South Beach's Ocean drive and boutiques but nothing a cab ride can't take care of. Parking is a little strap but reasonable for the location ($29). Plenty of valet guys are awaiting your coming and going.

It's located adjacent to a Carabbas restaurant wit options for dinein or room service. Both were excellent! Also available is a tiki bar wih American fare and courtyards usual AM bufffet option.

I especially loved the path to the semiprivate beach and a boardwalk to take a nice night walk at night. Rooms are not huge but adequately sized. You can choose to splurge an get a suite or oceanfacin room too.

I am a 31-year old female from North Carolina. Four of my closest friends and I visited South Beach from March 2-March 5, 2012 to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. One of the highlights of our trip was our hotel stay. Every employee treated us like royalty. They opened doors, helped us in and out of vehicles, engaged in conversations about the "hotspots" and attractions, and greeted us with warm smiles at every corner. Although this hotel is not in the middle of all the action, a short cab or bus ride will get you to Lincoln Road in less than 5 minutes. Be sure to visit the tiki bar...it has a beautiful view and the food and staff at Carraba's Grill is wonderful. There is a deli directly across the street from the hotel that sells breakfast items for a fraction of the cost that you will pay at the Starbuck's inside the hotel. When we return to South Beach next year, we will stay at this location because of the exceptional value and service.

There's nothing that detracts from this hotel, but it doesn't particularly own up to the amount that it costs.

The rooms, while nice, are very small. The hotel itself is a little further out from South Beach/the main area than other hotels (2 miles), which was a good thing in my opinion, but having a car there is almost a necessity. It's on a nice stretch of beach and the walk into South Beach along the boardwalk is a pleasant one.

They give you a ticket for a free appetizer and a "2 for 1" drink special during happy hour and while the appetizer was by no means bad, the happy hour isn't so happy when you get the bill. They structure the 2-for-1 deal so that one drink is $10 so it doesn't particularly feel like a 2-for-1. The staff was friendly and made my drink like my biceps...strong...so I'm not complaining all that much.

Basically, there's nothing wrong with this hotel, but there isn't technically anything glaringly right to justify their price. ($300 to $340 per night). You just sorta leave going, "Why was that so expensive??".

OH, almost forgot, their initially very friendly door guys/valet staff stop being friendly if you don't have cash on your persons to tip them. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
