After searching for hotels in South Beach we recently decided to stay at Waldorf Towers. We arrived and our American Epress based reservations were not on record. They accommodated us anyway and were very nice. The location cannot be beat and the room, while European in size, we're quite comfortable. Being near New Years the activity on Ocean Ave was ramping up yet we really heard vey little once in the room. Easy access to everything and the valet parking was great. All in all highly recommended

This hotel is clean and modern and has an excellent location and all in all is good value.

However, as we were being checked in, one of the staff who had taken our bags up called reception from our room, they spoke in Spanish so I don't know what they said then we were told our room wasn't quite ready ( even though it was 4pm). We said we would go for a drink and wait but then we were told the room was ready? Later that evening we realised we had no phone in our room, no safe and the toilet wouldn't flush. Not major problems so we just told reception who then informed us that they knew this but were full and wouldn't normally use this room? I found it a little disappointing that they hadn't just been honest with us at check in.

Later that night we were given a safe, toilet kinda got fixed (problem kept coming back but we managed) but we didn't get a phone which we weren't too fussed about anyway.

I would still stay again as all in all we liked the place. Oh and also didn't have any noise from our room. I had read reviews about noise problems but we were on third floor and it was fine.

Absolutely perfectly located! Right on Ocean at 9th. Staff was crazy friendly. Rooms are modern and well sized for South Beach. Bed was really comfortable and room had a beautiful flat screen tv as well as a small fridge. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again next time I'm in South Beach.

We spent four days in the Waldorf this december 2012. Hotel very well located, central Ocean Drive. Recently renewed, very nice decoration and atmosphere. Staff is great : very friendly ( speccially the guys from reception, now I only remember the name from the 2 Lazaro,s. Profesional guys, but all were friendly, helpfull and accesible ).
Room nice and confortable, no noise from outside at all ( I read that some rooms are noisy, our 206 was not ). Beds are one of the best ever, please provide your Matrase provider name ;-).
The only negative point on my opinion, I agree with others reviewers, were the bar prices. Expensive ones, quality ok, but prices expensive. But on the other hand I have to say that most of the prices in Ocean Drive are the same or similar.......some a few cheaper but others even more expensive. But staff in Bar is very friendly and professional too :-)
