Six of us "dined" at Vespers on Xmas night. They first seated us next to a table of 10 unruly loud children all under 10 years of age. We asked to be moved. When the drinks finally arrived, the waiter brought the Absolute martini in a bar glass UNCHILLED! The "friendly" waiter claimed to be Itlalian and described the restaurant as an American Brasserie with an Italian flare. When my friend started to ask him about his "home country" in Italian, the waiter did not understand a single word. He finally fessed up that he is acutally Cuban. After waiting for 2 hrs, I asked the Maitre D' to check on our food. She stated that the reason for the delay was because we did not order our entrees at the same time as the appetizers which was completely NOT true. When the food finally arrived 2 1/2 hrs later, they forgot to make one of the entrees. The manager did offer to comp the "forgotten" entree, but it was too little too late. Never again!

On arrival I was told I had to pay 25usd fee. The rooms were dirty, shabby and the electrics unsafe. Wires were hanging from holes, there was sockets that were unsafe in room. On asking to change room bluntly told no unless if pay 300 usd a night. As it was boxing day very difficult to change hotel. Website is misleading. As it busy in Miami finding it difficult to change room. Please take my advise book elsewhere.

My husband's company had their holiday party at this hotel last weekend. When we arrived, the lobby was very appealing and it is in a good location. when we went to our room, it was a differenct story. The beds were hard, uncomfortable pillows. We found 2 pieces of metal on the floor. The bathroom was horrible-holes in the walls, no place to put your stuff and the shower got you wet when you turned it on. Also, when we went to sleep, there was a band playing at the adjacent hotel and they were so loud that it sounded like they were in our room. When we called the front desk, they said it would be several hours before they stopped. In the morning, the garbage truck was picking up outside our room at 6:30AM. Needless to say, this was not a great experience. When we complained to the clerk, we were told that we could stay there again for a discounted rate. NO WAY.....

the hotel a great place beautifull place, just remodel and its just looking great, the rooms arent just like they offer them, they arent fully remodeled, and they're just still on construction, lots of construction, elevators just take a buch of time, we had no power or water a couple of hours, but at those times we just got our suits on and we headed to the pool or the beach, as soon as i got there it was looking beautiful, but that isnt just the begging, we had NICK tall young guy extremely friendly and, he treated us like we were in a different place, hes service was just over the top, he helped us, keeped checking on us to see if we were doing good or we needed anything, he talked to us about he's job and he knew the spots were to recommend people to go, like joes stone crab (AWESOME), chalan the peruvian food place, mangos the latin dancing club, also clubs like set, louis, mokai, hes service was just GREAT, he helped us a couple of days on the beach and the pool, he's welcome was GREAT MORNING, something were not used to that specially from a young guy, and offered us but didn't promise trying to help us on accomodating us on our room, or get us complimentary drinks just because of what we were going trhu. (Not even hes job) besides that the hotel did good, food at lucys was really good. keep up the good work and we would really like nick to help us next time!
