“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We were able to use points to stay at the reasonable hotel on the beach. Parking is expensive and there are little alternates so we used the hotel valet. Room was average but had a nice view. The hotel bar is relatively expensive but nice. They have a medium sized pool with towels located nearby. Right near the pool there is a boardwalk that you can take for quite some distance south. The beach is right behind the boardwalk. They have outside showers so you can rinse off after the beach. Pleasant staff. Would stay there again.

I found the staff really helpful when we needed a place to dine.
The location was ok but would have preferred being a little closer to South Beach but there are plenty of the buses to take you there.
The rooms were clean but were disappointed in the tea and coffee selection in the room.
There is no room service after 10pm so if you are thinking of a midnight snack, forget it.
Overall my stay was comfortable.

We stayed at the hotel on the 23rd & 24th departing on the 25th.

Guest room- we returned to our room late evening on the 24th around 10pm. The room was not serviced. Both beds unmade, no clean towels, supplies, etc. we called for towels as all 4 of use needed to shower. After 20 minutes we went to the front desk and the towels were still not sent as one clerk exchange with the other. The towels arrived and there were only 3 vs. the request for 6.

Parking - the valet is operated by a separate company. We returned on the evening of the 24th and they were all set to park our cars without providing a ticket. We went to the cashier and she was presenting a hand written tag as our ticket. We argued for 30 minutes and finally received a ticket for each car. The tickets do not have the hotel name or the company, who operates the concession, name. There was no inspection on the ticket not anything that is on the usual 5 part valet ticket you receive in many hotels. Thus they wanted tu to trust them with 3 cars valued at $100,000 with no ticket of exchange.

On departure day our guest room phones did not work so we could not call ahead for our vehicles as required Dir to remote parking. When our cars were liveried at the Porte Cachere we noted lots of adjustments to the sound systems with volume and channels and 2 of the cars needed re-programing. It was evident my Genesis was someone's playboy for the evening.

The overall attitude of the staff was poor, althought everyone was friendly and polite, they had no urgency to solve. The lack of understanding of the car transaction was most alarming. This told us never to return as we would never feel safe.

We will be traveling to the area 6 to 8 times before the end of year but will avoid this hotel!

Room Tip: Before you go up to your room and waste time, stop at the front desk to make sure the room has been...

Rooms a bit tired, surprised there were no balconies, location superb. Miami Beach is the most attractive place i have been to in the US so far. My first impression was that it looked a bit like Benidorm, but i think that was depression after a long flight.

This is a play room for kids. No service, no lifts ( only one working very slowly) no recognition for loyal clients. A TOTAL MESS. Its very nice location without any managment or service. The worst Holiday inn that can imagine. Only the breakfast is good but very expensive. I dont recommend this hotel. Very noisy and without any control... Go somewhere else

Better for shorter stays. May become bored after 3 or 4 days.

Pros: Oceanfront, clean rooms and premises. Laid back, quiet and seems great for families with kids. Short walk to Southbeach (shops, restaurants---->Häagen-Dazs and Starbucks.)

Cons: No shops or restaurants along or near boardwalk. Noisy rooms (at least on 6th floor). No complimentary shuttle to airport.

Tips: When asking about more lively areas, they will tell you to to take a taxi to Southbeach. Walk or rent a bicycle. It's a very short distance and the walk there along the beach is nice.

Room Tip: I was upgraded to an ocean-view room on the sixth floor. If you can, you must try to get one. It is...

This hotel is in a great location on Miami Beach and only 15 min. to downtown South Beach. In general everything was fine. I do think they nickle & dime you. To use the business center computer was $1 for 4 min. which I thought was ridiculous and we were waiting for someone to arrive to have breakfast at their buffet & they wanted to charge us extra for having a cup of coffee while we waited. You are more or less forced to have meals at the hotel if you do not want to travel by car somewhere else because there is nothing else close by. the staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean. all in all I would stay there again.
