They were under construction so we got our room at a great price. Bed could've been softer but other than that it was great. Great pools. On beach location. STK is a lil overpriced but The Cafe has good coffee.

This hotel is under noisy, inconvenient renovations and offers a poor/price value. When the hotel is done it may be very nice, but until then-avoid. The bright spots is that the employees try to be up-beat and positive and professional, even they know the renovations seem endless. I was told they started in May 2012 and they still have a long way to go. The soaker tub in my suite was nice, if you want luke warm water - need a heat booster.

We have stayed at The Gansevoort/ The Perry for four years in a row, and have had wonderful experiences. This season was different because of the construction, but we knew about it before we arrived. It did not impact us too much except for the last day. Our suite was still as large and beautiful as ever with great physical space, big bathrooms, and a kitchen and dining area and big living room. We did miss not having our special balcony overlooking the pool and ocean but the construction did close off the balconies.
We also hope The Adult Roof-Top Pool will be up and running as an adult roof top pool again after they are done with the construciton. This year it felt so different as all families, and young children were up on the roof top, because of the construciton near the third floor family pool.
We just hope the hotel will be up and running next February, 2014 with all the amenities we have been accustomed too. We have enjoyed are many years of staying here because of the size of the suites, the great location, the walks on the boardwalk to North Miami and to Ocean Drive - South Beach, and to Lincoln Road, and the views of the ocean and pool, and sunrises and sunsets.

We stayed here while there was construction. The hotel looked like a rundown crackhouse. There was dust and a smell from the construction. There was jackhammering above our heads. In case of an emergency, I wouldn't be able to hear a fire alarm. The construction workers curse and yell and were trying to peer into the hotel room. Is that appropriate? Also, the rooftop pool was closed and we were not notified of this closure. Did I also mention the roaches crawling on the bathroom ceiling?
