When you look online. this hotel seems to appear to be an extravagant and wonderful place.
Not so.
The entire hotel is under construction. Every balcony door is heavily cemented shut with a view of construction filth and ladder bars. the entire hotel!!!!
While in our way to the room , we noticed a distinct mildew smell on the 2nd floor. As we reached our room, the smell only worsened. the black carpeting was dirty.

we changed rooms 3 times while visiting this hotel.
The noise was rediculous.The rooms disgusting.
And not only do they not inform you of the $40 a day for parking. Better call way ahead or it takes forever.

Poor poor experience. There were so many other hotels that were available.
They just tell you online that they only have a few left to create urgency in booking.
Although, my son enjoyed our vacation to South beach, it would have been less stressful getting a clean and relaxing environment.

Great location close to Lincoln road and all the great restaurants. Amazing staff who greeted me by name every time in entered the hotel. Pleasant and friendly staff at the desk. Perfect room and beach service. A must stay. beautiful.

Let us first set one or two things straight. If you are looking for a honeymoon hotel to spend all day and all night relaxing in your room, Perry is not the place to choose as long as their extensive renovations are on-going. The noise during the daytime is extensive and it quickly gets very unnerving to spend time inside the room while the jackhammer is having its day in the sun.

The reality is that most people visiting Miami and in particular South Beach come there to be out and about and enjoy the area. The hotel should provide a comfortable "base" for sleeping and for relaxing in the evening before enjoying all that the area has to offer - and on this point The Perry delivered in spades. The rooms are huge, in fact larger than many suites on offer for $600 - $700/night in the nearby properties of similar standard. The staff was very courteous and friendly throughout our stay, and the location of hotel is excellent (just a stone throw from the beach).

It is also worth noting that the excellent rooftop pool area offers a sanctuary away from any notable construction noise.

The only clear point of criticism that springs to mind is that they charge hotel guests around $16.5 per day including tax to make use of the David Barton gym situated inside the premises.

All in all, very pleased with the stay and would definitely consider returning.

Our room in this hotel was amazing, but unfortunately we were very disappointed with the continuous noise. Yes, it was advertised that there would be contruction work, but I really do not think they should be charging full prices for rooms in this hotel right now. We also had the addtional noise of what I guess was a ventilator or air condition unit which came on every evening. It sounded like a plane was permanently about to land outside. That stopped about 7am just as the music for the dance classes in the gym below started (well I guess that is what it was, with all the shouting too). Then at 8am the banging and drilling started. This added to the fact that the rooftop bar was only open until 6pm and when we went there at 5pm it was already closed and the cost or hiring sun loungers and our shower that flooded the floor each time, I am sorry to say that we will not be returning. There are other things I could also mention but I don't want to sound too negative! Just to mention, we travel all over and I have never done a negative review for any hotel.
